Its current owner and president, John Strellner, chose the name "Heartland" to express Mid-America values. Several years ago, John was visiting his Grandmother in Iowa who, at the time, was 102. Grandma never locked her doors, she always left the keys in the car and she could count on her community… a handshake and a promise were as good as gold.
