Jaenke Heating & Air Conditioning was started in 1969 by Dennis and Flo Jaenke. Dennis had worked as an auto mechanic by day and worked on air conditioners and furnaces in the evenings. He learned the trade from his father, who worked at a sheet metal shop. After much discussion, Dennis quit his day job and started his own HVAC business. They purchased a vacant building and converted it into the shop they still use today (located at 423 S. Library Street in Waterloo, IL). They had three daughters, Lisa, Tricia, and Sara, all of whom are very proud of what their parents were able to accomplish...
