My name is Jim Silvester and I'm currently a Masters Student at the School of Interactive Arts and Technology - Simon Fraiser University, Vancouver Canada... Innovation Maps is a product line of Global Advantage Consulting. It deals with representing an innovation system graphically. When larger innovation systems such as a Canada's Innovation Ecosystem, the graphical representations become fairly large. My task was to create a system for viewing and interacting with these large graphics... I began creating my own viewing system with Flash. While in development we discovered a Flash system called Prezi which accomplished most of the major goals of the project. However, it did not accomplish all of the desired goals, mainly having clickable links on the maps. Each map have well over 80 links, so I created an automatic linking system with Flash.
