Daniel C. Lapidus co-manages Lapidus & Lapidus with his older brother and partner Ryan. Mr. Lapidus predominantly practices in the areas of business litigation with a focus on defense work. He is on the national counsel team for U-Haul International, Inc., representing the company in matters ranging from serious and fatal personal injury cases to disputes over insurance coverage. Mr. Lapidus also advises clients in employment matters and trademark due diligence and registration.
Los Angeles Magazine named Mr. Lapidus a "Top Young Lawyer in Southern California" for six consecutive years since 2009 and a "Super Lawyer" each year since 2015. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Board of Governors.
Mr. Lapidus received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1998. In 2003, Mr. Lapidus earned his law degree from Loyola Law School, where he was a Note & Comment Editor on the Loyola International and Comparative Law Review. He is licensed to practice in California, New York and the District of Columbia.
Jim D. Bauch has over two decades of litigation experience. After receiving his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1998, Mr. Bauch practiced in the litigation department of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP. In November 2007, he joined Lapidus & Lapidus PLC.
Mr. Bauch's experience includes general commercial litigation as well as trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property; defamation, privacy, and other First Amendment issues; as well as labor, employment, and land use matters. He has participated in successful jury trials on complex business litigation matters, and was named a "Rising Star" by Southern California Lawyer Magazine. He is the co-author of Who Watches the Websurfers?, an article on employee internet use policies published in the inaugural issue of the Privacy and Data Security Law Journal.
Ryan Lapidus founded Lapidus & Lapidus, PLC in 2002 as an alternative to the traditional law firm model, with an emphasis on practicality and uncompromising service. Lead counsel for owner of parking lot in dispute with shopping mall over access and payment, defeating preliminary injunction motion from a large firm, resulting in settlement for client;

Obtained a preliminary injunction against nation's largest television syndicate based on contract breaches for syndication of various television programs.
