O'Brien Systems was founded in 1979 by Charles O'Brien - Charlie O or Chaz to those who knew and loved him. Shortly after starting the business, Charles was in a major car accident which resulted in a broken tibia, fibula, knee, and ankle in his right leg. He was hospitalized for three months and was unable to return to his office in Suburban Station for over a year. Although the odds were stacked against him, he was determined to succeed, and the original work-from-home business was born. Both from the hospital and his home, Charlie kept in touch with clients and sent out proposals from his trusted Royal typewriter. His son, Kevin, would often act as courier and hand deliver said proposals after his classes ended at Villanova during his junior and senior years...
