Barbara Levison

Ms. Levison received her BSW from Cornell University in 1992 and her MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1994. In addition, she received a master's degree in Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University in 1994 and is a graduate of the Baltimore Institute for Jewish Communal Service. Ms. Levison has provided care management services with Proeger & Associates since January 1997. She received her certification in Care Management in 2007 through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers and is a member of the Aging Life Care Association®. Ms. Levison is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Aging Life Care Association®. In 2023, Ms. Levison earned the designation of "Fellow of the Leadership Academy" from the Aging Life Care Association®. This designation recognizes those Aging Life Care Professionals® who have demonstrated themselves to be advanced practitioners and experts in the field of Aging Life Care / Geriatric Care Management. Ms. Levison served on the Florida Chapter of the Aging Life Care™ Association's Board of Directors for ten years from 2014 through 2023. During that time, she served as Chapter President for two years and as an Advisor for two years. In 2022 Ms. Levison Co-Chaired the Aging Life Care™ Association's National Conference which was held in Orlando. She served as the 2015 Conference Chair for the Annual Florida ALCA Conference. Ms. Levison is currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Aging Life Care Association's National Education Committee. She continues to participate annually in the Alzheimer's Walk as a Team Captain. Her prior work experience includes a position with a home health agency providing social work assessments of client's needs for a variety of community services. Additionally, she has held the position of Director of Social Services at a long-term care facility.

Charlene Proeger

Dr. Proeger is an experienced Aging Life Care Expert TM (Professional Geriatric Care Manager) who has owned her own elder care management business since 1993. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and qualified for national certification as a Certified Care Manager (CMC) in 1997. Her experience includes over 40 years of providing counseling services and coordinating community resources for clients and families. In recognition of her contributions to the Aging Life Care Association TM (formerly the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers), she was presented with the prestigious Adele Elkind Award for 2014. This national award honors distinguished and professional service to the Aging Life Care Association at the national, chapter, and local levels.

Kendra Barber

Ms. Barber joined Proeger & Associates, Inc. in 2021. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in 1998 and her Diploma in Nursing from Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing in 1990. She has been a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing since 2012. Her prior work experience includes 20 years of providing nursing care and educating RN students in Sarasota and Manatee counties and across the US online, with a prior decade of critical care nursing and management experience. Ms. Barber's areas of teaching focus included management of chronic illnesses, functional health assessment, mental health, memory care and end-of-life care. She has experience navigating the range of acute care, transitional care, and extended care facilities in the community. Ms. Barber is a member of the national Aging Life Care Association®, and currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Florida Chapter. She is an active member in the Suncoast Aging Network and enjoys volunteering for All Faiths Food Bank.

Mindy J. Zelitt - VP

Since 2004, Ms. Zelitt has been involved with committees in the aging network. She is co-chair of membership for the Suncoast Aging Network. She has also participated regularly in the local annual Alzheimer's Walks and has served as an Alzheimer's Association Support Group Facilitator.
