The founders, Darrell and Duane Warren stared their careers in commissioned sales with Shell and Mobil Oil companies, selling everything from lubricants and kerosene, to fuel oil, gasolines, and diesel. Branching off on their own in 1951 to start their own Shell and Mobil distributorship, Warren Oil, they built the family business to several million dollars in sales. Eventually, their children grew and entered the family business. As the business continued to develop, Darrell and Duane decided to separate the business back to distinctive brands; Darrell Warren took over the Shell distributed sales and Duane Warren took over the Mobil distributed sales.
