Dervish Ibrahim

Our international sales manager, Dervish Ibrahim, has over three decades of experience in technical sales with 18 years of his career spent managing sales teams. Dervish is an integral member of the TM Robotics team of industrial robot experts, supporting our extensive network of global partners throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Russia with an emphasis on sales, customer service and technical support. He has extensive knowledge of the wire and cable industry, having spent much of his career working for a leading distributor in the sector. This makes Dervish the ideal candidate to give advice on our wire and cable offering. With a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering and an excellent reputation in the industrial technology world and the wire and cable industry, Dervish is well placed to develop both Shibaura Machines' presence in the world of industrial automation and also ancillary equipment in the wire and cable industry.

Doug Dalgliesh

Job Titles:
  • Business Development Manager
As business development manager, Doug Dalgliesh is responsible for managing and developing TM Robotics' North American distribution network. Prior to TM Robotics, Dalgliesh was an independent distributor for a global automation solutions manufacturer, where he introduced the company's line of industrial automation controls to distributors, OEMs and end users in the U.S. market. Before that, Dalgliesh was vice president and general manager of a North American master distributor of intelligent machinery. While there, he led the company from being a virtually non-existent player to becoming one of the top assembly robot suppliers in the market, selling through a distribution network he built from the ground up. Additionally, he was vice president of sales at a regional provider of industrial automation solutions. In that position, he redirected the company's focus from a traditional fluid power distributor to an automation products supplier, driving significant growth in sales.

Hayley Keeble

Meet Hayley Keeble, office and logistics manager at TM Robotics. Hayley plays a vital role at TM Robotics handling all orders, invoicing and purchases at the company. Hayley has been part of the TM Robotics team since 2005, playing a major part in the company's growth over the years. Outside of the busy day to day of the office, Hayley, mother of two, enjoys spending time with her family. She loves running and has completed many runs for charity, including the Great North Run, and has even raced in Spain and France. A huge fan of Disney, her favourite characters are Mickey Mouse and Mary Poppins, while her ideal getaways are family trips to the Disney paradise of Florida.

Jakub Urbanek

  • Injection Moulding Machine and Industrial Robot Assistant Service Manager
Jakub Urbanek joined the TM Robotics team after several years of work experience in engineering roles in the UK and Europe. At TM Robotics, he works within the injection moulding division - servicing and delivering maintenance to users of Shibaura Machine injection mould equipment across the UK and Ireland. Urbanek also supports the long-established robotics division.

Matias Risse

Job Titles:
  • South America Sales and Business Development Manager
Matias Risse joined the TM Robotics team in 2020 and is responsible for the sales, marketing and support of the Shibaura Machine industrial robot range throughout South America. He has been involved in the robotics industry since 2009. Risse is excited to be working with Shibaura Machine. As the use of automation in South America increases, many manufacturers require assistance to ensure they remain competitive in the global market. Risse's passion lies in the development and research of projects for the implementation of new robotic technologies in the general manufacturing environment, specifically for pharmaceutical, biotechnology packaging and food. In his free time, he is an active sportsperson and enjoys diving and water sports.

Nigel Smith - CEO

CEO Nigel Smith directs the overall growth and development of TM Robotics throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, North and South America. Under his leadership, TM Robotics has established a strong international distributor network and tripled its sales since the company's inception. It continues to grow an average 10 percent year over year. Smith founded TM Robotics after holding a number of positions at Toshiba International. During his time at Toshiba, he was responsible for the sales, marketing and support of the company's PLC and Industrial Robot product range throughout all of EMEA. Smith's close relationship with Toshiba Machine, now under the name of Shibaura Machine, has enabled him to influence product updates - as well as the creation of new robots - throughout the years. This has included anything from end of arm tooling, robot mechanical structures, and new controllers the European market. He has also advised Shibaura Machine on new markets to enter, raising the company's profile around the world. Smith works out of the company's UK headquarters.

Peter Coltman

With several years of experience servicing and maintaining Shibaura Machine's injection moulding equipment, Peter Coltman joined TM Robotics in 2022 to lead the company's injection moulding offering. Coltman is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, service and supply of Shibaura Machine's injection moulding equipment across the UK and Ireland.

Ryan Guthrie - EVP

Job Titles:
  • Executive Vice President
As executive vice president, Guthrie oversees the operation and direction of the North and South American headquarters. Chartered with expanding the growth of TM Robotics, Guthrie is responsible for extending the U.S. sales channels and distributor network as well as championing strong customer service - from training and support to installation and maintenance. Prior to returning to the States to direct TM Robotics' North and South American operations, Guthrie worked at TM Robotics' European headquarters from 2007 to 2013. While there he was responsible for technical and application support, working closely with primary accounts throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, and Russia. Guthrie began his career in robotics working for Bremer Centrum für Mechatronik and K-Robotix in Germany, where he worked exclusively with Shibaura Machine Robots.
