Cedar Elm

Cedar Elm is the most widespread native elm in Texas. It grows in all areas of the eastern half of Texas except the extreme southeastern part. It is a tough, adaptable shade tree with excellent drought tolerance and beautiful golden yellow fall color. Its leaves are small and rough, and glossy green in the spring. Cedar Elm can withstand heavy, poorly drained clay soils and soils that are moderately compacted. Mature height 70-90 feet tall, 80 feet wide.

SAVANNAH HOLLY

Savannah holly is a distinctive, upright, moderate-growing, pyramidal-shaped ornamental tree with medium-green, shiny leaves. Savannah hollies have small white flowers in the spring followed by red berries in the fall and winter. Savannah holly can adapt to both sandy and clay soils. Mature height 15-30 feet tall, 15 feet wide.
