TRANSFORM LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION LIMITED - Key Persons

Ben Clutterbuck - Managing Director

Job Titles:
  • Managing Director
Ben Clutterbuck heads up the business. Ben began his career as National Trust apprentice whilst studying at Bicton College. He continued his training at Moreton Morrell which is part of Warwick College. Ben splits his time between being in the office and managing the tree care team onsite. We asked Ben if he enjoys this varied work load? "Each day is different. One day it is trees then its employee appraisals and business development. I can be tree climbing one minute then being a tree consultant the next. I have many roles which can be challenging but I enjoy the mix of practical and office work." Being a dad and also running a farm means Ben leads a busy life. However, sometimes he can sneak out for a cheeky mountain bike ride or to kite surf at Hayling Island.

Simon could list many things he loves about his job but the main thing is that he gets to see the project right through to completion: "I am very lucky that I am involved with the project right from the start and the creative process. I then have the opportunity to see all the plans being built and the planting schemes take shape. Finally I get to speak to the delighted customer, it is very rewarding." After spending all week studying the ground Simon takes off to the skies at the weekend. He has a private pilots license and enjoys flying out of Goodwood. So next time you are out admiring your newly designed garden and a small aircraft flies over it might be Simon getting a birds eye view of his creation.

I think this is why I like the hedge cutting side of the job as it is very satisfying." At the weekend Tom enjoys football and photography. He even has a drone so he can take landscape photographs.
