Chris Mansour

Chris joined Alpha Pension Group in 2013 and is responsible for assistance with the design, implementation, and maintenance of client plans. Chris' extensive experience with ERISA compliance, daily plan operations and relationship management is invaluable to his clients. He works closely with third party administrators and record-keepers to help implement plan amendments, execute fund changes and ensure all clients meet their fiduciary responsibilities. With Chris's comprehensive experience in the industry, he engages with all aspects of the retirement plan and is a vital source of knowledge for the Alpha community. Prior to joining Alpha, Chris worked for more than a decade in the retirement services industry. He started as a client service representative at MFS Investment Management and then transitioned to The Hartford and MassMutual to work as a plan manager for qualified plans. Chris values spending time with his wife and daughter and family friends. On sunny Sunday afternoons, he enjoys running and cycling, and even completed the Boston Marathon in 2002!

Chuck Burke

Chuck joined Alpha Pension Group in 2022 with more than 25 years of experience with retirement plans and employee benefits. As an advocate for plan sponsors, Chuck focuses on achieving positive outcomes for plan participants so they can enjoy their retirement years. Before joining Alpha, Chuck worked for MetLife, the Standard, and Sun Life Financial where he leveraged his employee benefit and retirement income expertise to help people achieve lifetime financial security. When he's not in the office, Chuck loves travelling, live music, and spending time in Narragansett, RI. He's also an avid men's league hockey player.

Dale Powers

Dale joined Alpha Pension Group in 2019. As an Education Consultant, he conducts large group meetings, virtual webinars, and one-on-one financial education meetings with plan participants. Regardless of the mode of delivery, Dale is a skilled communicator and helps ensure plan participants understand the importance of retirement planning. Furthermore, Dale breaks down the complexities of financial planning and guides clients in the enrollment and investment selection processes. He wants participants to understand that he, and the greater Alpha community, are invested in them as people and driven to help them succeed. Dale worked for 27 years in the compliance industry, spending 11 years as a vice president at New York Life and John Hancock. Through his career in financial services, Dale has developed a firm understanding of market cycles and the importance of creating a diversified portfolio for the long term. At Alpha, he employs this knowledge to help educate clients and alleviate plan participant concerns particularly during times of extreme market volatility. Dale enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge to help others pursue their retirement goals. Dale is a talented musician and, when not in the office, you can find him playing trumpet in a big band. He also designs halftime shows for high school and college marching bands.

David Bradshaw

David joined Alpha Pension Group in 2013 and works with clients on an individual basis to help them pursue their investment goals. Whether it be through one-on-one consultations with plan participants or through client group education, David strives to help clients stay on the right track. He designs and provides guidance on investment strategies, asset allocation and risk diversification. David welcomes inquiries from plan participants and truly enjoys helping them on their path towards retirement readiness. Prior to joining Alpha, David worked in private wealth management. During this time, he developed deep functional expertise while gaining broad exposure to business and client relationships, both valuable skills he brings to the Alpha team. David enjoys stand-up comedy, reading, and sports. When not spending time with his family in Salem, you can find him catching up on the latest Dave Chapelle Netflix special. Greg Donahue

Greg joined Alpha Pension Group in 2012 and is currently responsible for all Alpha technology, software, and networks. Greg ensures all systems are secure with the proper controls to comply with all financial industry best practices. He also coordinates new tool implementation and supports business development and analytics. To further enhance Alpha's personal relationship with clients, he assists with maintaining the CRM and ensures the integrity of data collection and protection. Greg started his career at Alpha as an intern in college and has been with the firm almost his entire professional career. In addition to other roles, Greg served as the Director of Investment services for seven years before transitioning to his current role as Chief Technology and Analytics Officer. Due to Greg's extensive experience in multiple roles at Alpha, he understands what infrastructures and database systems best fit the company's comprehensive business model. Greg enjoys developing Alpha's systems and processes designed to help hard-working people pursue retirement readiness. In his free time, Greg enjoys keeping fit, hunting, and golfing. When not tending to Alpha's data analytics systems, he keeps busy as a small engine mechanic at his family business, fixing lawn mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, and more.

Jay Sullivan

Jay joined Alpha Pension in 2021 as Manager of Investment Services to provide assistance in the monitoring of our book of business as well as assistance in researching and analyzing nvestments that are used in our clients' retirement plans. Jay also oversees report preparation, document reviews and day-to-day operations of the investment team. Prior to joining Alpha Jay worked for many years in the financial services industry at John Hancock as well as Fidelity Investments and brings his expertise in the operations area. Out of the office, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and beach days on The Cape. He is also a board member and coach for youth sports and likes hitting the links when time permits. Jessica Gale

Jessica joined Alpha Pension Group in 2021 and oversees internal workflows to ensure plan action items are managed effectively through the CRM system. Jessica also maintains Alpha's secure document repository containing critical client material, such as meeting minutes, quarterly investment reports, investment policy statements and benchmark reports. Jessica's diligence and communication skills are paramount to her current role as she ensures Alpha's database systems enable the team to provide accurate, timely and valuable information to their clients to assist them in satisfying their fiduciary responsibilities and offer a competitive retirement benefit to their employees. Prior to Alpha, Jessica worked as an independent stylist for six years working individually with customers on their specific needs and requests. Jessica loves spending time with her three children enjoying their activities and together in constant search for the sun either on the slopes, a trail, or the water. Joseph Simmons

Joe joined Alpha Pension Group in 2022 and brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services and retirement plan industries. In this role, he conducts group meetings and individual one-on-one sessions with participants around retirement plan education. With a passion for personal finance, Joe's goal is to make complex investment concepts understandable to participants to provide guidance towards a comfortable retirement. Prior to joining Alpha, Joe was an investment consultant for NY Life Retirement. In this role he worked with plan sponsors to ensure participants were offered the most appropriate investment choices. He also worked and shared his knowledge in the stable value area, one of the most conservative investment options found in many 401k plans. Out of the office, Joe enjoys being a modest golfer in the summer and skier in the winter. He also enjoys hanging out with his wife and three college-age children (when they are around). A music fan, Joe plays in a neighborhood band for anybody willing to listen.

Keith Killion

Keith joined Alpha Pension Group in 2018, bringing more than 20 years of corporate operations, finance management and retirement plan industry experience to his role. Keith oversees all operations of Alpha Pension and works to improve internal efficiencies designed to enhance client experience. Additionally, he is responsible for strategic planning and works closely with Alpha Pension leadership to help ensure excellent service experiences for the fiduciaries, plan participants and plan sponsors that Alpha Pension serves. Prior to joining Alpha, Keith worked for John Hancock/Manulife as well as New York Life in various leadership roles within the Finance and Accounting groups. Keith also has extensive management and entrepreneurial experience in the venture capital, real estate and retail sectors. Out of the office, Keith enjoys spending time with his three daughters, coaching youth sports, and playing hockey and golf. And when time permits, he loves to travel.

Lisa Gerbrands

After more than 20 years in the retirement plan industry, Lisa joined Alpha Pension Group in 2018. Lisa manages new client implementations and plan transition operations. Lisa's exceptional attention to detail and project management skills ensure smooth client conversions and seamless implementations. Furthermore, Lisa enjoys providing support to help guide plan sponsors through their fiduciary responsibilities and helping them feel confident that all DOL and IRS requirements are being addressed to help ensure plan operational compliance. Lisa spent the first 10 years of her financial services career at Putnam Investments before joining Mercer. After ten years with Mercer, Lisa transitioned to Transamerica. Lisa's extensive operational and institutional recordkeeping knowledge makes her a fantastic asset to the Alpha team and clients. She understands the importance of collaboration and works to create efficiencies and provide superior service for Alpha's clients. In her free time, Lisa enjoys watching her kids compete in dance and sports. She also treasures her time spent in Maine with her family and their dog.

Mark Salamone

Mark joined Rich as a co-owner of Alpha Pension Group in 2006 and now oversees all client management functions and serves as Alpha's CFO. Mark has a passion for working with plan fiduciaries using strategic data analytics to measure the success of the retirement plan and for developing action plans towards improving plan health and employee retirement outcomes. He loves to assist plan sponsors in developing initiatives designed to recruit, reward, and retain talent and is always excited to play a role in an organization's growth strategy. Prior to Alpha, Mark worked as a financial advisor at New York Life and Eagle Strategies. During this time, Mark gained extensive knowledge about retirement plans and the various service and fee models. He quickly realized the importance of providing transparent, personalized, and cost-effective retirement planning services to help clients negotiate lower fees and get the most value from their retirement plans. Now, while leading Alpha, he continues his mission to provide the best client experience and improve the country's retirement landscape. Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Mark is an avid Boston sports fan and still believes he has a chance of playing for the Celtics one day.

Mike Newton

Mike joined Alpha Pension Group in 2012 and helps manage the daily operations of Alpha's clients. He provides support to assist with plan design, ERISA compliance, and fiduciary governance. He loves working for Alpha where he can wear multiple hats and engage in all aspects of the retirement plan process, thus helping to ensure clients receive premium service and quality. As Mike says, "Alpha Pension is a small business with a big mission." Mike enjoys working closely with plan sponsors towards increasing plan effectiveness and positive retirement outcomes for employees. Prior to joining Alpha, Mike worked as a Retirement Plan Manager for more than a decade at both The Hartford and MFS Investment Management. Mike's extensive experience enables him to leverage his retirement plan experience and help ensure excellent service experiences for Alpha's clients. Mike is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, sailing, hiking, and camping. Mike's favorite job, however, is raising his two boys. He's slowly chipping away at the NH 4,000 Footers, having summited 34 of the 48 peaks - a goal which began after completing the Presidential Traverse in 2006.

Nicole Rhind

Nicole joined Alpha Pension Group in 2018 and specializes in plan design support, expense analysis, plan benchmarking and investment fiduciary oversight to help clients offer competitive retirement plans; foster employee retirement readiness; and satisfy plan fiduciary requirements. Nicole leverages her 20 years of industry knowledge and experience to deliver objective guidance and support to her clients. She believes, "retirement should be awesome, and every employee deserves the retirement they have always dreamed of." Prior to Alpha, Nicole worked for Thomson Financial Services before moving to Amman, Jordan where she worked for USAID. While overseas, she worked on a project focused on modernizing the Jordanian Stock Market to attract retail and institutional investors. In addition, Nicole was a vice president in Fidelity Investments' retirement division for 15 years both prior to and after her time in Jordan. In her free time, she enjoys family beach days, skiing, and gardening. She also likes to run and is always recruiting for the annual Narragansett Blessing of the Fleet road race!

Rich Cawthorne - President

Rich started Alpha Pension Group in 2003 with a simple mission: to enable hard-working people to retire with dignity. As the CEO, Rich sets Alpha's strategy and culture; develops new business opportunities and partnerships; collaborates on the Investment Committee; and leads the team in its efforts to deliver superior client service to the businesses and not-for-profit organizations that Alpha serves. Rich's favorite part of his job is meeting with companies to see if Alpha can be a resource to their organization and positively impact their employees. Rich is proud to say that Alpha employees are neither investment managers nor benefit brokers; they are consultants with a singular focus: helping companies raise the standards of their retirement plan. Prior to Alpha, Rich gained extensive retirement plan knowledge and experience at MFS Investment Management. Rich determined that there was a need for independent objective investment fiduciaries to help companies establish cost-effective, competitive retirement plans and educate employees to help them prepare effectively for retirement. This belief ultimately led Rich to the vision and conviction to develop the comprehensive business model of Alpha: a company wholly devoted to time-tested class retirement planning and consulting. If Rich weren't working at Alpha, he'd be either a weatherman or maybe even a race car driver. He continues to practice guitar with the hopes that one day Pearl Jam will give him a call; however, most of all, Rich's favorite job is being a loving father to his three children.

Sam Frick

Working in Investment Services, Sam will provide key support to the day-to-day operations. Prior to this role, Sam held analytic and accounting positions for multiple healthcare companies, as well as graduating from Providence College with a B.A. in Economics. In his former roles Sam accrued recognition from leadership for his ability to improve work processes and increase workflow efficiency. Sam was also inducted into the International Honors Society for Economics for his work at Providence College. Stefan Sabbagh

Stefan joined HUB New England in 2023 and brings over 18 years of experience in the financial industry by working with retirement plan participants, individual private wealth clients as well as small business owners. In his former roles, Stefan worked as a Senior Retirement Consultant with Voya Financial for 15 years and as a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise for 3 years. Stefan brings a passion for helping individuals identify and pursue their retirement goals through wealth management and financial planning. Tara Reiss

Tara joined Alpha Pension Group in 2019 and is an integral part of building meaningful relationships with all of Alpha Pension's valued clients. Tara is responsible for overseeing the scheduling and preparation of all meetings and conference calls conducted by advisers and education consultants, whether it be investment committee meetings, group education meetings, or individual participant meetings. Furthermore, she facilitates client communications and ensures all clients have their voices heard by the Alpha team. Prior to joining Alpha, Tara was a client service manager for 7 years and learned to manage multiple client tasks simultaneously as well as developed excellent organizational and administrative skills that now enable her to consistently exceed client expectations. When not at work, Tara loves spending time with her family in coastal Maine. In addition, she coaches both All-Star and high school cheerleading and her favorite memory was reaching the Nationals competition in Texas. Tracy Helms

Tracy joined Alpha Pension Group as the third employee in 2008. Today, Tracy manages all compliance functions for the firm. She ensures that company policies and procedures are being followed and that the entire Alpha organization meets the company's highest standards of conduct. She works closely with the implementation of all incoming new business, compliance reporting, transition management, and daily oversight of internal operations of Alpha Pension. Additionally, Tracy manages the approval process for communication and marketing materials and oversees Alpha's social media presence. She maintains her dynamic compliance program with a commitment to ethical decision-making and always doing the right thing. Tracy has held many different roles in her years at Alpha and maintains the ethical leadership role critical to the success of Alpha. Prior to joining Alpha, Tracy was a freelance court stenographer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for more than 15 years. Being self-employed for many years, Tracy perfected traits such as self-reliance, emotional intelligence, and integrity, all of which are vital in her current role. Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband and four children and looks forward to the birth of her grandson! She cherishes time on the lake in Maine with her family, especially when they catch the beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
