Brady Serafin brings decades of invaluable experience in the fields of child welfare, juvenile justice and residential care to his role as Chief Executive Officer at Cedar Crest Hospital and RTC. With a strong background in advocating for a vulnerable populations, Brady has dedicated his professional and personal life to improving the lives of others. Prior to assuming his current position, Brady held significant leadership roles as a Director for the State of New Hampshire overseeing operations of 144 bed secure care facility and lead a team of more than 500 employees across 10 residential care settings. Brady's leadership was instrumental in driving success and achieving position outcomes for individuals under his care. Brady has also served as CEO of Resource treatment Center and Millcreek Behavioral Health, where he lead both team to remarkable achievements.

Crystal Riley

Crystal Riley, MS, LPC, NCC joined the Cedar Crest team as a residential treatment therapist on the male unit. She has continued to advance her career as a Residential Program Manager and now Director of Clinical Services of RTC. Crystal has a military background, serving as a Medic in the US Army and then attending nursing school before finding her calling in the mental health field. Crystal completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with honors at Texas A&M - Central Texas.

Jaylyn Schumpert joined the Cedar Crest team in May 2019. She has worked as a community liaison in the healthcare sector for 13 years and has a Master's of Business Administration. She volunteers with the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and is active in the Veteran of Foreign Wars organization as an Auxiliary member. She is passionate about helping others and being a resource of education in her community.

Luke Potts

Luke was born and raised in Central Texas where he and his wife have been small business entrepreneurs and long-time community supporters. They own The Woodhouse Day Spa - Nolan Creek and are partners in the recently completed Belton Depot and The Katy developments that are bringing 10 new businesses to downtown Belton. They have a non-stop lifestyle that focuses on the busy family life of raising three wonderful kids. Outside of work and family, Luke is a strong supporter of his community. He has deep roots in Central Texas where his family goes back 8 generations. He serves on multiple non-profit, community, and governing boards. He loves giving his time to great causes and is honored to serve along the side of all the Cedar Crest Hospital teammates. Luke graduated from Texas A&M University with his Bachelor's of Science degree and then attended the TAMHSC School of Rural Public Health where he acquired his Masters in Health Administration. As a healthcare administrator he has been recognized multiple times for outstanding customer service and strategic innovation. He loves Central Texas!

Melissa West - CFO

Melissa has been with Cedar Crest since April 2005. Her career has grown with Cedar Crest, beginning as AP/Payroll manager, quickly being promoted to Staff Accountant, then Controller, and in January 2015, she accepted the position of CFO. Prior to her relocation to Texas, Melissa worked for a Catholic Health Partners facility in Youngstown, Ohio.

Melissa Wheeler

Melissa joined the Cedar Crest team as the Business Office Director in March 2020. She started her career as a Nursing Home, Business Office Manager in 2013 and has worked in healthcare management roles ever since. In 2021, she obtained her Masters of Business Administration and is looking forward to continued growth with Cedar Crest. "I am proud of my Business Office team and proud to be part of the Cedar Crest Leadership team".

Monica Gauna

Monica Gauna has twenty years of experience in the field of mental health and has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Cedar Crest Hospital & RTC since May 2021. She is a licensed counselor and has worked in various mental health leadership roles, including Intake Director, Director of Clinical Services, and Director of Performance Improvement and Risk Management. Monica has a proven track record in managing successful CMS, TJC, and state surveys. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree from Bowie State University, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
