MARTI SMITH SEMINARS

In 2015, Marti Smith, OTR/L flew to Oslo, Norway to present a training on how to use a trauma informed framework to help therapists and caregivers know which type of regulating activity to use when helping children exposed to trauma. It was during this time that Kaja Naess Johannessen, PsyD, Ane Heiberg Simonsen, PsyD, Linn-Marie Holm Karlsen, PsyD, Marti Smith, OTR/L, Ann-Karin Nielsen Bakken, PsyD, and Rob Smith (Marti's software developer husband) brainstormed the idea for the KALMAR (pronounced "Calmer") tool.
