Charlie Kane

Charlie Kane, an award-winning designer, is a founding principal and design director at XLG, a product design studio based in Dallas. In his 14 years of interiors and product design experience, Charlie has created innovative workplaces, branding and packaging, furniture and textiles for a range of leading companies. Collaborating with Shaw Contract Group at XLG, Charlie has consistently designed innovative and successful carpet collections, including dressed2kill, paparazzi, flux and fragments. His work on behalf of Shaw has resulted in four Best of NeoCon awards. Charlie's current work includes carpet solutions for Shaw Contract Group, a wood casegood system for Novikoff and glass collections for Joel Berman. Prior to co-founding XLG, Charlie worked as a senior designer at lauckgroup and RTKL. He has designed interior environments for Deloitte & Touche, New York City; TXU corporate headquarters, Dallas; i2 Technologies Center of Excellence, Las Colinas, TX; Steelcase showroom, Dallas; Vecta showroom and headquarters, Garland, TX; Shaw Contract Showroom, New York City; and Al Salama Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Charlie's international travels and his background in fine arts and photography continue to influence his approach to design. He received a Bachelor of Science in interior design in 1994 at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Cory Grosser

Cory Grosser is an American product designer, brand strategist and educator. In 2002 he founded his studio in Los Angeles. The same year, he had his first international exhibition in Milan and secured his first consulting project from a Fortune 500 company. Since then, he has gone on to become one of America's top independent product designers. His career balances design work for high level European design brands, strategic consulting engagements for large corporations and teaching the next generation of designers. His work has been featured in books and journals worldwide, including the covers of several magazines. Surface Magazine named him one of the Top Avant-Garde Designers in America" His work has appeared in television and movies in America and abroad. Cory has won several awards, including an ID Magazine Design Review Award, Best of Neocon Award, a Gold Award at IIDEX, and an I.Dot selection representing the best of Italian Design. His work has been shown in exhibitions and museums worldwide. Cory is active in design education. He is a faculty member of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He's taught advanced studios sponsored by Chrysler, Roxy, Honda, Ford, Indy Racing League and Bernhardt Design. He's also served as a judge in several design competitions including the 2007 Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass competition, the selection committee for the Salone Satellite in Milan and the Spark awards. He has given talks and lectures internationally in cities as diverse as Milan, Toronto and San Salvador. Born in Rochester, NY, Cory holds an Architecture degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an Industrial Design degree from Art Center College of Design.

Home Paul

Born as a Californian, Paul was trained in Interior Architecture at Arizona State University College of Architecture. In his 30 year career he has worked and lived in Phoenix, San Francisco, Dallas and Houston. In his professional career, Paul has worked on a variety of project types including corporate, healthcare and education. Project sizes have ranged from 100 square foot exhibit spaces to 3M square foot University. Project locations include North America, the Middle East, and Asia. Projects always follow a rational and rigorous design approach but the human occupant with all of the inherent quirks is never forgotten. Paul is currently a Vice President and the Design Director for Interiors with HOK Houston. Always interested in art, Paul began a second career as a fine art photographer, when he moved to Houston in 1998. His work has been in numerous exhibits, represented by galleries, and has been collected by several international law and accounting firms as well as private collectors. Paul lives in Houston in a renovated 1950 ranch house with his partner and their Westie Simon.

Jordan Goldstein

Jordan Goldstein is a Principal with Gensler's Washington, DC office. Jordan brings an interdisciplinary approach to design that combines his experiences in architecture, workplace and product design. His architecture and interior work includes base building design for Armstrong World Industries, showrooms for DatesWeiser furniture in Manhattan, and product design for numerous manufacturers. His work is influenced by time spent studying architecture in Tokyo and Rome. Over the last few years, Jordan's design work has won national awards and been published in several design periodicals, including Interior Design, Contract and The Washington Post. His most recent product design collaborations, Tuohy Finesse, received recognition as one of the top new furniture systems introduced at the Neocon showcase in Chicago. A native Washingtonian, Jordan received a Masters in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Maryland in College Park. He currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife, daughter and a very large dog.
