Mr. Barna is a Civil Engineer with more than 10 years of civil/structural engineering experience on design and inspection of waterfront facilities including, piers, bulkheads, bridges, spillways, and headwalls. He is trained and experienced in non-destructive testing including ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrate testing. He is a Registered Engineer in Alaska, South Carolina, and New York.
Mr. Barna is experienced in SCUBA and is an ADCI Surface-Supplied Air Diver. He is trained in accordance with OSHA diving standards 929-CFR 1910.410 on the use of tools, equipment, techniques, diving operations and emergency procedures. He has worked in hazardous diving conditions. His tasks have included Level I, Level II, and Level III underwater and above water structural inspections, bridge repair, data collection, and compilation as well as technical report writing and engineering design.
Mr. Barna has over ten years of experience in hydrographic surveying and is experienced in the operation of a variety of hydrographic and sonar equipment including real-time differential GPS, robotic range-azimuth laser-based position systems and HYPACK hydrographic survey software. He has executed projects involving tidal hydraulics, dredging, scour analysis, velocity profiles, and the design of coastal structures. Additionally, he is familiar with various side-scan sonar and underwater acoustic imaging systems and has successfully used these systems in the field.

An experienced navy diver, Frank retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service to found EXND Diving Marine Services in 2006. While with the Navy he received his 1st Class Diver Certification in 1993 and 2nd Class Diver Certification in 1988.
Mr. Lasch has an A.A. in Applied Marine Engineering and has taken the National Highway Institute, Underwater Bridge Inspection Course #130091.
