HATCH VALLEY PRODUCE

The Porter farming legacy started in 1930 when Fontain and Jewel moved from Noland County, Texas with their two young sons. The Porter's bought land and raised sheep, dairy cattle, beef cattle, and chickens in addition to cotton which was then just becoming the counties most important crop. Jewel and Fontain retired in the mid 1970s and Brady took over his parent's farm. Brady was actively involved in the farming operation until a tragedy struck the family and he was blinded in 1980. In the late 1980's after Bill received his degree in Ag Business he began farming with the help of his father's (Brady) knowledge. We started Hatch Valley Produce in 1988 as a small onion packing plant to compliment our farming operation... It is our goal to provide our customers with the finest, wholesale foods possible.
