Dwayne has over 10 years of public accounting experience in tax compliance, accounting, and consulting and brings a level of expertise and tax knowledge that ensures the highest quality of service. Prior to joining us, Dwayne worked at a number of regional tax firms including Ganer and Ganer, WithumSmith and Brown and Berdon LLP where he developed and honed his skills. He thrives on helping clients navigate through complex tax and accounting issues by exploring ideas how to reduce taxes and implement saving opportunities where appropriate. He also loves building strong client relationships based on being transparent and open with his communication.
Dwayne graduated from Husson University where he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting and a Master of Science in Business (M.S.B) in Business Administration. As an Enrolled Agent, he is able to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service for tax issues including audits, collections and appeals.
Out of the office, he is a sports lover and in his free time plays basketball and watches sporting events. He had the opportunity to play Semi-Professional basketball overseas and his passion and knowledge for the tax industry continued while he was away. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending music concerts.

Nicole Borkowski is a talented accountant with experience in both private and public accounting. Nicole graduated from Washington State University's Carson School of Business where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting. She is currently studying for her Enrolled Agent's exam to further her ability to better serve the people and businesses that we work with.
Prior to becoming an accountant, she had experience in multiple fields including real estate settlements, construction bookkeeping, and hospitality. After graduating with her accounting degree, she worked for a boutique accounting firm in Portland, Oregon that had a diverse clientele base where she excelled in the day-to-day accounting functions for her clients and in developing and building customer relationships. In Portland, her areas of focus were restaurants, real estate companies, construction, and cannabis. Nicole is both warm and approachable and she strives to exceed client's expectations combining respect and effective communication.
Teena is a highly motivated, analytical professional with many years of experience in Federal and state rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. She has diverse knowledge in the areas of higher education, regulatory compliance, risk management, accounting, and taxation. Before coming to Smyle and Associates, Teena served as Compliance Officer for Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University, and Staff Auditor for a Houston CPA firm. Her 20-year tenure as a Tax Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service has been the catalyst in providing clients with not only superior customer service but educating them in the importance of tax compliance, tax planning and tax law.
Teena received her BA in Business Administration & Management from California University of Pennsylvania and Executive MBA in Energy Finance from Texas Southern University. She is currently studying for the Enrolled Agent's exam in order to better serve our clients. Teena lives in Houston, TX but is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and is a lifelong Steelers fan.
The role of COO is not one that you see often in accounting firms. But, Smyle and Associates continuously strives to be on the forefront of progress and recognized the need to bring on someone to help run the day to day operations of the firm. Victoria works alongside Aaron and oversees all of the key functional areas of the practice. She has experience and knowledge in senior management, operations, compliance, administration, human resources and financials with a background in accounting, law, government and affordable housing. She is detail-oriented with a proven track record of spearheading innovative projects and providing operational oversight through executive administrative support and office management. Part of her core competencies and strengths are being an effective and analytical communicator leveraging organizational and time management skills in order to streamline workflows and to bolster efficiencies.
Victoria received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Florida State University in Political Science/International Affairs and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University. She also plans to obtain the Certified Financial planner "CFP" certification to further augment client offerings and demonstrate the commitment that Smyle and Associates has to work in their clients' best interests at all times when providing financial advice.

Yeimy Morel is a professional accountant with extensive experience in both general Accounting and Taxation. Ms. Morel graduated from Instituto Technologico the Santo Domingo, (INTEC) with a B.S. in Accounting. After moving from Dominican Republic to New York, she continued her education at Keller Graduate School of Management and completed a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance. As an Enrolled Agent, she is able to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service for tax issues including audits, collections and appeals.
Ms. Morel has worked for private equity, accounting and IT consulting firms . Previously, she worked for KPMG Dominicana, Dale Carnegie, Copos Blancos, Citigroup, and tmg-emedia inc. and has experience in budget preparation and analysis, cash flow forecasting, preparation of financial statements, individual income tax return preparation and corporate tax return preparation.
