Being one of Norway's most prominent and acknowledged violinmakers, Jacob von der Lippe has been making instruments for musicians at home and abroad since 1998. Jacob's instruments are coming out of the tradition of the Italian masters. He trained at the "Istituto Professionale Internazionale per l'Artigianato Liutario e del Legno ‘A. Stradivari' " in Cremona, Italy. Jacob von der Lippe's instruments have a sound focusing upon warmth, projection and richness in overtones... As the first and only Norwegian, he is a member of the worldwide organization Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Archetiers. Over the past twelve years, Jacob has extracted the essence of all his experience and developed his own personal model for violin, viola and cello...
