Michael E. Dahl

Michael E. Dahl is the Managing Director of Woodside Partners, Inc., serving as an advisor and investor to manufacturing and services businesses. Starting a career in the chemicals and plastics industry with Dow Chemical in 1979, Dahl co-founded a subsidiary of US Intec in 1984 to manufacture specialty paints and coatings. He went on to serve as VP of Business Development for US Intec until 1989, when he became President of Eaglebrook Products, an early stage plastics recycler and manufacturer of synthetic lumber. Dahl lead the establishment of product standards, engineering criteria and user education for this nascent industry, leading to dynamic growth of the business and market. After Eaglebrook Products was sold to US Plastic Lumber in 1999, Dahl formed Woodside Partners, which primarily co-invests with, and advises private equity firms to accelerate growth in portfolio companies. Dahl has a strong innovation track record, proven aptitude for technical processes, and financial expertise across multiple industries, business sizes and maturities. He has broad transactional experience as both buyer and seller, with a variety of structures, sizes and terms, contributing to exceptional returns for stakeholders. Dahl was most recently a C-Level advisor and Director for WL Plastics Corporation during its fifteen-year rise to become the leading US processor of polyethylene pipe. He currently serves as a Director for Critical Process Systems, Rotating Equipment Specialists, Aviation Safety Technologies, and Friction Sciences. He also serves as Chairman of trade association Alliance for Polyethene Pipe. Dahl is the past Director of numerous corporate and civic Boards. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University.
