Jed Greene

Jed Greene is a Principal at Five Corners Group and works out of the San Francisco and San Rafael offices. Jed has 20 years of experience, including testimony experience, handling various matters involving intellectual property disputes, commercial litigation and fraud investigations. He also advises companies on various intellectual property issues, including licensing, acquisition, valuation, patent filings, and patent litigation risk assessment. Prior to joining Five Corners Group, he led the commercial litigation practice at Seiler LLP and worked in the litigation consulting practices of FTI Consulting, Inc., LECG, LLC and Hemming Morse, Inc. Jed has worked on over 100 cases including patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, breach of contract disputes, anti-trust violations, accountants' liability actions, false advertising, troubled acquisitions, business interruption and employment disputes. He has also provided consulting services on intellectual property matters for public companies on areas including licensing policies, licensing negotiations, settlement discussions, revenue allocation and risk assessment of intellectual property litigation. Jed is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of California, a Certified Management Accountant, certified by the Institute of Management Accountants and Certified in Financial Forensics through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA"). Jed is an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University. He teaches in its Forensic Accounting Program (a subset of its Masters of Accounting Program) and also serves on its Advisory Board. He currently teaches or has previously taught the following classes: Intellectual Property; Introduction to Financial Forensic Accounting; Economic Damages; and Lost Wages and Employment Litigation. Jed has also taught several classes relating to litigation consulting and expert testimony to audiences including California Society of Certified Public Accountants ("CalCPA") and the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Jed is a member of CalCPA, a 40,000 member organization. He served a two-year term as a Board member for CalCPA. He has also served in various leadership roles within the San Francisco Chapter of CalCPA, is a member of its Economic Damages Section and has served on its statewide Litigation Steering Committee. Jed is a member of the AICPA and has previously served on its six-member Economic Damages Task Force.

Nate Hatch

Nate Hatch is a Principal of Five Corners Group. Based in San Francisco, Nate works with trial teams across the nation using his skills in information design and strategic analysis. He specializes in presentation development; distilling complex information into easily understood illustrations, charts, and slideshows. Nate is well versed in a broad spectrum of media platforms, including graphic design, animation, video, and interactive media. Throughout his career, Nate has worked frequently in high-stakes "bet-the-company" cases. He is experienced in a variety of practice areas including intellectual property, contract disputes, employment matters, insurance coverage, and professional liability. Recent projects include technology tutorials, hearings and complex trials in state and federal courts in Arizona, Delaware, California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas to name a few. Nate's clients include Alston & Bird; Keker & Van Nest; Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius; McDermott, Will & Emery; Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe; and many other top-tier law firms throughout the country. His clients have successfully leveraged his persuasive presentations in numerous cases, including: Amgen v Sanofi; Broadcom v CSIRO; Masimo v Philips; Oracle v Google; and Hummel v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Prior to joining the Five Corners Group, Nate worked as a litigation consultant at Resonant Legal Media and helped launch the graphics division of the Jury Research Institute, a San Francisco based jury-consulting group. He began his career as a paralegal at Morrison & Foerster where he first became familiar with the use of graphics in the courtroom. Pursuing his passion for design, he began creating courtroom graphics as a Case Manager at Think Twice, Inc., a boutique litigation-graphics group. Nate holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Davis.

Steven Boyles

Steven Boyles is a Principal at Five Corners Group and has over 20 years of experience conducting accounting, financial, economic, and valuation analyses for clients. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Steven maintains a number of other professional designations including being Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), both issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Steven is also recognized as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers. Steven has been engaged on more than 100 matters involving complex business disputes requiring the investigation, evaluation and quantification of economic damages. He also possesses extensive experience in valuation, having worked on more than 100 valuations of closely-held businesses and intangible assets in both litigation and consulting settings. His experience encompasses a diverse range of litigation matters including investigating and quantifying damages in matters involving patent infringement, copyright and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, shareholder and partnership disputes, post-acquisition claims, alter ego analyses, royalty disputes, and other forensic and fraud investigations stemming from contract and tort claims. Steven has testified more than 50 times as an expert witness in federal and state courts as well as in arbitration and deposition in connection with the work performed in these areas.
