The Ohio Automobile Insurance Plan (OAIP) provides automobile insurance to licensed drivers that are unable to purchase automobile insurance through Ohio's voluntary market due to a variety of factors, such as driving history or first-time driver status. OAIP is an option for licensed drivers that can't obtain auto insurance coverage elsewhere, and often charges the highest rates in the state.
