BRUCE ATKINS

After design school, I studied editorial, fashion & advertising photography before joining Hipgnosis in London, then the leading international studio for record cover design. I never looked back. I am now based in eryri (snowdonia), in north wales, where I have my studio... In photography, I bring my training in large-format studio still-life to all of my work. I am drawn to texture, mood & form in landscape and still-life, 'false identity' in portraiture and particularly, the discipline of the big camera. I involve and experiment with alternative processes - anything that aids the image in expressing my visual feelings. I use digital, analogue & large format cameras for my imaging. I mix media, anything really to achieve the image I'm after.
