AUTO ID SOLUTIONS

The roots of the company began in the San Francisco bay area in January 1996 during the Internet revolution. It all started with Product Development Laboratory, Inc. (PDL), a consulting company that developed products for medical and dental OEM customers. In April 1997, PDL relocated to Minneapolis, MN to escape the high cost of operating a business in California. Around this same period, PDL began working on projects in the auto identification industry, specifically bar code verification. As this business segment grew it became clear that a separate division focusing on Auto ID was needed, and thus Auto ID Solutions was born. Since inception, we have grown into a leadership role within the industry. Our staff has participated in the creation of ISO and ANSI standards as a voting member of workgroups and task groups.
