Biography:
Dr. Hussein Ahdieh was born and raised in Nayriz, Iran, He is a sixth generation Bahá'à , his ancestors figuring among the first in Nayriz to accept the Bábi and later Bahá'à Faith. Hussein immigrated to the United States as a young man. Like many immigrants seeking a better life in America, he worked and attended college in the New York area. Hussein eventually completed a Masters Degree in European Intellectual History and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts.

This book shines a light on a remarkable heroine of the Bahá ´Ã Faith. Alma Knobloch (1864 "1943) one of the three Knobloch sisters, raised up the first African-American community in North America, and was instrumental in the growth of the Bahá ™Ã community in Germany. In His Tablets of the Divine Plan, ˜Abdu ™l-Bahá wrote: ˜Likewise Miss Knobloch travelled alone to Germany. To what a great extent she became confirmed! ™ Besides pioneering to Germany for thirteen years, Alma also taught early believers in Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic, as well as future Hand of the Cause Hermann Grossmann, and the first European martyr, Adam Benke. Many of the Tablets from ˜Abdu ™l-Bahá to Alma and other believers in Germany from 1908 to 1920 are published in English in this book for the first time.

Hillary Chapman is a writer, guitarist, and songwriter. Hillary has a BA in History from Haverford College and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania. He has done extensive community service for the Baha'i Faith in Russia and French Polynesia.

Biography:
Janet Ruhe-Schoen, who uses the byline Simona Ruiz for fiction and poetry, was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, but "grew up" in political and social awareness in Latin America, where she spent two years in northern Peru and eleven years in Santiago de Chile. In Santiago she worked as an investigative environmental reporter and also wrote on arts and culture. She did Spanish to English translations of books and articles and began researching a book of biographies of nine great North American Baha'is, A Love Which Does Not Wait, published by Palabra Press in 1998. In 1993 she moved back to the U.S. and began reporting for magazines and newspapers in New York State, where she now resides. Her brief biography of the founder of the Baha'i Faith, The Nightingale, Baha'u'llah, was released by Badi Publishing in October 2004, in English and Spanish. Ms. Ruhe-Schoen is currently researching a biography of the legendary 19th Century heroine, the poet Fatemeh Baraghani, better known as Tahereh. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in journals including Calyx, New Millennium Writings, Terra Incognita, Heliotrope and Zahir Tales. She is also a fabric artist, making sky and seascapes from hand-dyed silk.
