China Ocean Engineering Construction General Bureau(abbreviated as COECG), formerly known as the Chinese People's Liberation Army Naval Engineering Construction Bureau, was established in 1952, is one of the earliest large-scale professional construction teams in China. In May 1996, following the instructions of the Central Military Commission and approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, it was renamed China Shipping Engineering Construction General Administration, and later restructured to China Shipping Engineering Construction General Administration Co., LTD. In February 2008, it was merged into the world's top 500 enterprises China National Machinery Industry Group Co., LTD. At present, it is an A-level enterprise managed by China Machinery Industry Engineering Group Co., LTD. (referred to as "National Machinery Engineering Group").
