Dr. Aurelio Cervera specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He completed his Internal Medicine training and initiated his Cardiology Fellowship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, and he accomplished his Cardiology and Electrophysiology Fellowships at Yale University in Connecticut. Dr. Cervera has 12 years' experience in cardiac arrhythmia management, with specific interest in cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, permanent pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and management; including, leadless pacemakers and subcutaneous defibrillators and implantable loop recorders. Dr. Cervera is board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Cervera has been serving Lubbock and its surrounding areas since his relocation from San Antonio in 2013, where he practiced for six years.

Courtney Cowden III, MD joined Covenant Medical Group in July of 2016 as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Cowden received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed his residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine and also offers the latest in orthopedic care for arthroscopy, degenerative joint disease and fracture care of all ages. Dr. Cuthbertson is the newest physician at Ear Nose & Throat Associates. Practicing in Lubbock since 2016, he spent seven years prior to this treating patients in Houston as part of the prestigious team at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Cuthbertson treats all age groups, from pediatric ear tubes and tonsils, to adult diseases. He is especially adept at sinus surgery, particularly in-office balloon sinuplasty, nasal procedures such as septoplasty and rhino-septoplasty, and intricate head and neck procedures, such as thyroid and parathyroidectomies. Whether the illness is simple or complex, Dr. Cuthbertson will put you at ease with his laid back, caring and compassionate nature.
Dr. Athos G. Colón-Ledee is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist with Covenant Women's and Children's and a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He specializes in non-invasive fetal cardiology including transthoratic, ophogical and fetal echo cardiography.
While completing his residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Miami, Dr. Colón-Ledee served as chief pediatric resident. He also completed a three-year fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Schneider Children's Hospital in Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
Dr. Colón-Ledee is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow with the American Association of Pediatricians, a member of the American Medical Association, American Heart Association, and Lubbock-Crosby-Garza Medical Association.

Dr. Burkholder says he's always wanted to be a doctor, and enjoyed science. But he started medical school thinking he wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, "because they have cool tools. They have drills and saws and hammers and nails and they do cool surgery. But specializing in OB/GYN, for me, was the sort of the perfect match to my personality because it has the emergencies, surgeries, it has a routine and there's the happy world of delivering babies."
"It's not a perfect world and things can go wrong and not all babies are perfect, but if you back off and look at the big picture, it is a glorious event, and we shouldn't take it for granted. I think it is a blessing to be able to have children, and I think it is a blessing for me to be involved in helping people have safe deliveries."
Grace Clinic® started with eight doctors on staff, including Dr. Burkholder. "The growth of Grace Clinic® has been phenomenal and exponential, and I love the fact that we are all together. I value that interaction with my colleagues of all specialties. I just hope most of all, as Grace grows, we are able to continue the camaraderie and we don't get so big that we lose that oneness that I believe has lead to our success."
In addition to his busy medical practice, Dr. Burkholder also serves at the Medical Director of the Parkridge Pregnancy Center in Lubbock. It was started more than 20 years ago as a crisis pregnancy center. "Over the years it has evolved from simple counseling to medical care. The care we provide includes testing for sexually transmitted diseases but more specifically and more importantly sonograms of early pregnancies, so women can have information that is accurate, reliable, quality medical information that will help them make a decision." The center's budget comes from donations, and the services are free.
Dr. Burkholder receives consistent high praise from his patients for his kindness and caring attitude. Patients appreciate his thoroughness, many saying he takes all the time necessary to answer questions, present and discuss options, and ease concerns.
Dr. Burkholder is a recent recipient of a Five-Star Rating for Gynecologic Surgery from HealthGrades, a leading provider of outcomes information in health care.
