CYBEX

Cybex International Inc. headquartered in Medway, MA has been a staple of the American fitness equipment marketplace since the late 1960s. Formed initially as a sub-division of Charles Murcott's Lumex, Inc., Cybex has gone from a public entity to more recently a private entity enabling greater product innovation. Cybex is well known for producing durable product components with a high quality manufacturing process. This combination provides some of the lowest maintenance costs in the fitness industry over the product's lifespan... Cybex began as no more than a specialized rehabilitation equipment provided. When their quality and service became recognized nationally they know it was time to expand. One of the earliest expansions was the acquisition of Eagle Performance Systems (a strength equipment provider). Cybex's then added the Eagle line to its portfolio which later became the Cybex Classic series strength training line.
