Ambassador Lawrence P. Taylor

Former Ambassador Lawrence P. Taylor spent many years of his professional career providing leadership overseas. Today, after co-founding the Gettysburg Leadership Experience, he helps facilitate program sessions, bringing his exceptional leadership insight to life within the context of this pivotal Civil War battle. Over the 17 years since GLE was founded, Larry has guided hundreds of groups and thousands of participants through the program. Beginning with a very strong and sometimes provocative opening, he builds on the thoughts and experiences shared by the group and organically melds them into the topics being covered, tying the leadership lessons and the group's insights together.

Carol Cantele

  • Coach of the Gettysburg College
Carol Cantele spent over 30 years as head coach of the Gettysburg College women's lacrosse program. Cantele is the program's all-time leader in wins, amassing a record of 427-111 (.794 winning percentage) and claiming 12 Centennial Conference titles and three national titles. Cantele has been recognized as one of the top contributors and proponents to the sport of women's lacrosse and was named to the IWLCA Hall of Fame in 2021. In the fall of 2016, she was given the Diane Geppi-Aikens Memorial Award, one of the highest honors given by the IWLCA. The award recognizes lifetime achievement to the women's college game. Cantele served as a graduate assistant with the field hockey team at Miami (Ohio) University from 1986-88 where she attained an M.A. in physical education with an emphasis in sport psychology/coaching behavior. She also served as the head coach of the club lacrosse team at Miami.

Christina Moon

Christina Moon grew up on the Maine coast imbued with a love of the ocean and history. She made her first visit to Gettysburg at the age of ten, after trading a family vacation to Florida for the historic site. As a teenager, she split her time between learning about Gettysburg and sailing. At the age of 16, she was accepted to the prestigious Canadian West Island College in their Class Afloat program. Her senior year of high school was spent sailing the world on a tall ship, where she and her fellow student crew studied, worked aboard the ship, and visited dozens of countries. After graduation, she worked for the renowned Hinckley Yacht Company, prior to attending the University of New Orleans. There she majored in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, served in Student Government - where she created programs aimed to benefit new students - and was a member of the sailing team. She left university to pursue a full-time career in the maritime industry, eventually earning her Master's (Captain's) license shortly after her twenty-first birthday. Christina later rediscovered her love of Gettysburg and began an intense course of self-study to earn her Guide license. While studying for the Guide exam, she entered the retail sector and spent several successful years in management positions. In 2008, upon completing the Guide exam process, she was licensed as a full-time Guide. To date, she has conducted more than 6000 tours of the Battlefield presented to tens of thousands of visitors. Christina has been honored to escort politicians, domestic and international military personnel, celebrities, school students, and families alike. Over the years, she has served in multiple leadership positions within the Guide force. She is a former Vice President of the Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides, and currently serves as a representative to the NPS and Gettysburg Foundation on behalf of her colleagues. For years, she served as a committee chairperson for seminars and continuing education programs, and has delivered specialty presentations for the Guides, the National Park Service, and the Gettysburg Foundation. She has traveled to speak at Civil War Roundtables, and was featured on the well-known Gettysburg Daily website. She enjoys continuing her education in both the history and maritime fields, and continues to travel whenever she is able.

Diana Loski

Job Titles:

Diana Loski has been a published writer for 20 years, specializing in history and biography for 20 years. With eight ancestors who fought in the American Civil War (seven Union and one Confederate), she naturally has an intense interest in that conflict. Diana served as a licensed battlefield guide at Gettysburg National Military Park, from 1998-2006. She and her husband, Leonard, have published The Gettysburg Experience, a local Gettysburg magazine, since 1997.

Don Bellamy

Don Bellamy is a 1978 graduate of Colorado State University with a dual degree in Agricultural Business and Economics. Don recently retired from a 42 year career in the Ag finance business with Northwest Farm Credit Services and Bank of America. Career roles included Regional Vice President - Community Lending for Western Montana and East Idaho; VP Operations - Commercial Lending; VP Credit Approval for Eastern Montana and VP supervising the Young, Beginning and Small Ag Vision Program for NWFCS.

Dr. Dan Chase

Dr. Dan Chase is originally from Laie, Hawaii and is a founding partner/consultant at 6P Leadership. He also currently serves as the Director of Leadership and Organizational Development for the State of Utah. Dan has presented as a keynote speaker for various associations and organizations across the country and has consulted with many public and private organizations, including management and executive coaching as an ATD Certified Expert Coachâ„¢. Formerly Dan was an adjunct faculty member for the Organizational and Leadership Strategy Department at Brigham Young University (BYU) and the Communications Department and the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University. Dan earned an MPA from BYU emphasizing in organizational behavior and HR, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah with a research emphasis on the institutional leadership of Abraham Lincoln. Using this original research, Dan speaks to organizations across the country on Abraham Lincoln's leadership. He and his wife, Annie, reside in Riverton, Utah and have two sons, Dallas and Eric, and a daughter, Aly.

Dr. Robert Ginnett

Dr. Robert Ginnett is an internationally recognized expert in the leadership of high-performance teams and organizations. He has worked with hundreds of for-profit organizations, as well as the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force, and numerous components of the Intelligence Community. His real-world leadership experience ranges from military combat conditions to leading 30-person research teams for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center. He believes that the Gettysburg Leadership Experience delivers a unique and impactful opportunity for participants to learn and grow as leaders as a result of the program's expert battlefield, renowned leadership experts, the affective experience of walking on the battleground, and the opportunity to share insights and experiences with other participants.

Janet Morgan Riggs

Janet Morgan Riggs served as the 14th president of Gettysburg College from 2008 until her retirement in 2019. Prior to her appointment as president of Gettysburg College, Janet worked in a variety of administrative roles, including department chairperson, executive assistant to the president, and provost. While president, Janet was active in a variety of higher education organizations. Janet returned to her alma mater in 1981 as a faculty member in the Psychology Department. She taught courses in experimental methods, social psychology, and general psychology, and published research in the areas of attitude attribution and expectancy confirmation. During her faculty career, Janet received the Student Senate Faculty Appreciation Award, the Thompson Award for Distinguished Teaching, and the Woman of Distinction Award.

Jeff Harding

Jeff Harding is a Licensed Battlefield Guide at Gettysburg National Military Park where his animated and personable style serves to engage Gettysburg Leadership Experience (GLE) participants from their first interaction. His approach has been honed over his 21 years with the Park during which he's led thousands of visitors on tours of the battlefield. He believes strongly in the importance of this process of tying classroom lessons to the actual battlefield upon which examples of these lessons were realized. He recently retired from a 33-year career as a civilian employee of the Department of the Navy.

John Regentin

John Regentin is the Vice President of Experiential Leadership and directs the Gettysburg Leadership Experience and Lewis & Clark program for FCCS. His 27 years of experience integrating the classroom and research with active learning has encouraged a different type of professional growth and leadership insights within his participants and teams.

Matthew Pinsker

Job Titles:
  • Chairman of Civil War History at Dickinson College
Matthew Pinsker holds the Brian Pohanka Chair of Civil War History at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and serves as Director of the House Divided Project, an innovative effort to build digital resources on the Civil War era.

Richard (Rick) Schroeder

Richard (Rick) Schroeder became a Licensed Battlefield Guide (LBG) in July, 2016. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1977. He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School with High Honors in 1981. He is both a Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor society member. He completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1986. He completed two post-residency fellowships; one in knee surgery at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and the second in orthopedic trauma surgery at Shock Trauma in Baltimore, Maryland. Rick was the Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Level 1 Trauma Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania for 33 years. His orthopedic practice centered on complex fracture and reconstruction.

Therese Orr

Therese Orr enlisted in the United States Navy, serving three years on Active Duty and 27 years in the Navy Reserve, retiring as a Senior Chief Intelligence Specialist in 2007. Before earning her Guide license in September 2016, Therese Orr was Lead Assistant at the Rupp House History Center in Gettysburg, telling the story of the civilian experience during the 3-day battle. Therese has presented specialty tours for the Friends of Gettysburg semi-annual education events; had her choice for Gettysburg Unsung Hero published in the July 2019 issue of "America's Civil War" magazine; and participated in Gettysburg College's Civil War Institute virtual seminar in June 2021. She enjoys researching and providing specialty tours for guests of the battlefield, especially when the guest is a descendant of a Civil War soldier.
