Benjamin Fontenot, MD is board certified in family medicine.
Originally from Lake Charles, Dr. Fontenot is a graduate of Sam Houston High School and McNeese State University in Lake Charles. After studying basic sciences in the Caribbean, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Doctor of Medicine from Sint Eustatius School of Medicine on the Caribbean island of Sint Eustatius.
Dr. Fontenot completed the LSU Family Medicine Residency at University Hospital & Clinics in the Lafayette General Health System in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Dr. LeBlanc, a Lafayette native, specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of a variety of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose and throat (ENT), as well as related structures of the head and neck. This includes, but is not limited to sinus disease, tinnitus, ear infections, tonsilar conditions and facial reconstruction.

Brett Goodwin, M.D. is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and adult echocardiography. He is board eligible in nuclear cardiology. Dr. Goodwin earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a certificate in health policy from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He returned to Louisiana to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, where he earned a medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and a master's degree in business administration from the Tulane Freeman School of Business.
Dr. Goodwin completed an internal medicine residency at Duke University and a cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Brett Cascio earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University before earning his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and his fellowship in sports medicine at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, where he participated in the care of the U.S. Ski, Colorado Rockies baseball, and Denver Bronco's football teams. Dr. Cascio attained the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves and served a tour in Afghanistan from 2007-2008 with a Forward Surgical Team prior to returning to teach residents at the LSU Department of Orthopaedics.

Originally from Mooringsport, Louisiana, Dr. Steve Springer received a Bachelor of Science degree from Centenary College in Shreveport. He earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his residency at the LSU Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program in Lake Charles. Dr. Springer is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been in private practice since 2001.
Dr. Timothy Gilbert is a clinical endocrinologist with over 15 years of experience in the complex management of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal disorders along with other rare endocrine disease states. He is the founder and medical director of the Endocrinology Center of Southwest Louisiana and the associated AADE Certified Diabetes Education program which are divisions of Imperial Health. Dr. Gilbert has also been the director of the diabetes program and clinics for the Coushatta Indian Reservation for the last 15 years.
Dr. Gilbert is considered a key opinion leader in the field of diabetes and has served in various clinical, management and consultant roles. The practice places a strong emphasis on early and aggressive intervention in patients with diabetes utilizing the most up to date therapies available. He also provides in-office thyroid ultrasound in addition to ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy of thyroid nodules. For more than a decade, Dr. Gilbert has been involved in numerous promotional and CME level programs across the country. He has presented numerous programs at a national level on continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy along with programs focusing on intensive insulin management.
