INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Instructional Systems Design (ISD) is a first course on the ADDIE model using the Dick & Carey schema. We examine strategies, trends, issues and research findings related to the design and development of standards-based instructional systems and programs. We focus on both behavioral and cognitive strategies of instructional design including the theory and research background related to each approach. Students will apply these strategies in assessment of needs, analysis, design, development, management and evaluation of an instructional system or program. New Technologies for Learning (NTFL), is an introductory instructional technology course covering social constructionist pedagogy using the learning objects model.
