JAIRUS FOUNDATION

The Jairus Foundation was founded in 2001 by Dr. Greg Rosenthal, a retina surgeon in Northwest Ohio. It is a public charitable fund, and all contributions are tax deductible according to applicable IRS guidelines. We are a small, grass roots organization which advocates for people in need in the belief that all people deserve a chance to live with peace, health, and security... The Jairus Foundation is named after the daughter of the Biblical synagogue ruler whom Jesus raised from death. Our goal is to find children of all ages who need a second chance; people who can't get that chance otherwise... We have offered help in a variety of ways, ranging from Christmas gifts to children in Peru to providing retinal surgery for patients in the Dominican Republic. We have also provided tuition assistance to American students at elementary, high school, and college levels and various other domestic projects.
