Adam Holzhauer

Mr. Holzhauer attended Lewis & Clark Law School and graduated magna cum laude in May 2023. He is excited to start his legal career at KGG. He began at KGG first as a legal assistant immediately after taking the bar exam and gained valuable experience in that capacity. He now practices as an associate attorney after being sworn in as an Illinois licensed attorney in November 2023. His practice focus is in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, zoning, estate planning, and business transactions. While studying at Lewis & Clark, Mr. Holzhauer counseled clients at the Small Business Legal Clinic. There, he honed his legal research and legal drafting skills and successfully evaluated the legal needs of clients and offered solutions. He drafted construction contracts and a memorandum of law that provided guidance regarding compliance with import and export regulations. He also completed a remote externship at Earth Law Center, where he assisted a non-profit land trust in preparing a farm lease consistent with its environmental advocacy goals. Mr. Holzhauer was awarded the Larry Kressel Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes an outstanding student in the area of land use. In his final year at Lewis & Clark, he served as a research assistant for Professor Samir Parikh. Mr. Holzhauer researched trends in leveraged buyouts and their relation to a provision of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code for Professor Parikh's upcoming article for the Pennsylvania Law Review entitled "Financial Disequilibrium." While completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Holzhauer was chosen to be a teaching assistant for a deductive logic course, showcasing his valuable critical thinking skills which are essential to the practice of law. In his free time, Mr. Holzhauer enjoys playing the guitar and writing songs. He has been playing guitar since high school, but he still considers himself a novice.

Bradley S. McCann

Mr. McCann delivers complex estate planning services and business services. Following Mr. McCann's graduation with a degree in accountancy, he obtained his certified public accountant designation (CPA) and worked for a major accounting firm in their tax and audit department. After gaining an abundance of tax experience, Mr. McCann went back to school to obtain his law degree. While attending Quinnipiac University School of Law, he received the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award and AAA-CPA Scholarship, as well as the Phi Delta Phi American Jurisprudence Award for Business Organizations. For his third year, he attended DePaul University College of Law as a visiting law student. Upon law school graduation, Mr. McCann practiced with a Chicago law firm for fifteen years: five years as an associate and ten years as a partner with the firm. In 2012, he joined a local Joliet law firm, where he practiced for another ten years before joining KGG, LLC as a partner in February 2022. Mr. McCann represents many businesses, particularly family-owned and closely-held businesses, working closely with them to ensure optimal business structure upon start up and the use of wise tax strategies on an ongoing basis. He guides entrepreneurs in the formation and financing of new entities. He has extensive experience drafting partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, and limited liability company operating agreements. He also has significant experience setting up and advising private foundations and a variety of other not-for-profit and charitable organizations. He represents both businesses and individuals in tax audits being conducted by the IRS and state agencies.

Bruce M. Konzelman

Bruce Konzelman brings to KGG a wealth of experience in transactional practice, with an emphasis on commercial and residential real estate and corporate acquisitions. He has orchestrated many multi-million-dollar real estate transactions, including several acquisitions of hotels. But he is just as devoted to clients with smaller business and real estate interests. He is equally experienced in estate planning and estate administration. Bruce provides legal guidance and services to many businesses regarding a broad variety of issues, including entity formation, asset purchases, mergers, and tax consequences of transactions. Born and raised in Kankakee County, Bruce grew up on a farm in Momence. He remains the owner of a Kankakee County grain farm and spends most of his weekends on his farm. His experience in operating a farm provides him with a level of understanding the farming business that other attorneys cannot provide. He is pleased to provide legal services to many farmers, consistent with KGG's own roots in serving local farmers. Bruce served in the United States Navy following college. After law school, he embarked upon his legal career as an attorney for the First National Bank of Chicago. He went into private practice in Rock Island, Illinois, but stayed there only a few years before settling in Will County. He joined an established law firm in Joliet, where he became a partner and continued to practice for many years until joining KGG. Bruce is happily married and the proud father of four adult children and nine grandchildren. When he isn't working hard for his clients, he enjoys golf, horticulture, and watching football. He has been a Bears season ticket holder for 40 years.

Bryan W. Kopman

Mr. Kopman's litigation practice concentrates in the areas of commercial matters, construction, zoning and real estate, personal injury, insurance defense, election law, and general tort litigation. He represents private businesses and corporations, public entities, banking institutions, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors as well as individuals. He has tried many cases to judgment, including jury trials as well as bench trials. Mr. Kopman is experienced in resolving matters through alternative dispute methods, including mediation and arbitration. Mr. Kopman's government practice involves general representation of local governmental units. He represents and has represented a county-wide forest preserve district, a community college, a Will County city, and a municipal fire & police commission and has worked for several other municipalities and townships and a local park district. Chantal S. Host

Jamie is a member of the Illinois Bar and has dedicated her time and career thus far to family law and children's issues. She received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While in law school Jamie was the Articles Editor for the Children's Legal Rights Journal and was published in the same. Jamie was a legal writing tutor, as well as a clinician at the Loyola Civitas ChildLaw Center in the Policy and Legislation Clinic. She received certificates in both public interest, and child and family law, highlighting her work and study in both areas of law. Jamie was recognized by Loyola's faculty and Deans for her commitment to leadership, service, and public interest. Jamie spent time interning with Judge Pamela E. Loza, Supervising Judge of the Domestic Relations Division within the Cook County Circuit Court. She also utilized her 711 Student Practice License while volunteering with the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian in both the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Divisions. While at the Public Guardian's Office, Jamie represented children in highly contested divorce and custody issues, as well as abuse and neglect cases. Jeffrey M. Archambeault

Jeffrey Archambeault was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. He attended Joliet Catholic Academy, and went on to attend the University of St Francis, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He then attended the John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2008, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois. Jeff focuses his practice on civil litigation and has tried over 100 cases, including both bench and jury trials. He has extensive experience in the areas of eminent domain, municipal law, criminal law, mechanics liens, insurance defense, subrogation, and creditors' rights. He handles most of the firm's forcible entry and detainer litigation. He has represented small businesses and homeowners associations in reviewing and updating covenants and declarations as well as collecting fees owed. He has served as a local prosecutor for small villages in Will County, being responsible for the prosecution of traffic offenses and ordinance violations. Prior to joining KGG, LLC, he also represented the Will County Division of Transportation in the acquisition of numerous parcels through the use of eminent domain for roadway construction. Jeff is an active member of both the Illinois Bar Association and the Will County Bar Association, for which he serves on the Board of Directors. John is a native of Joliet, Illinois, and a lifelong resident of Will County, where he has practiced law since 1993. John proudly served his country in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged in 1986, John attended Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Med in 1988. John worked for the Illinois Administrative Office of Illinois Courts as a Pretrial Services Officer in Cook County, Illinois, while attending undergraduate and law schools. John worked for a local law firm upon graduation from law school, but struck out on his own in 1998. He began his solo practice in 1998 in Joliet and continued running his own practice until joining KGG LLC. Kathy M. Sons

Kathy focuses her legal skills in the areas of appellate practice, legal research of all kinds, residential real estate, and pre-trial civil litigation involving personal injury, commercial disputes, land use, and probate matters. She has authored and argued innumerable motions in the circuit court, many of which have resulted in favorable final resolution for her clients without the necessity of a trial. She has won appeals in the Illinois Appellate Court, both as an appellant and as an appellee. She prevailed in a Petition for Leave to Appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court, and went on to win that appeal, succeeding in overturning an eighty-year-old case. She also won an appeal in federal court before the 7th Circuit Appellate Court. She has served as a judge several times for the Appellate Lawyers Association's moot court competition, judging both oral arguments and written briefs. She also served as a judge for the Illinois State Bar Association's Annual Lincoln Award writing contest. Kathy's path to legal services began before attending law school when she worked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office as a legal clerk and then for Cook County's Pretrial Services Department as a Pre-Trial Officer. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, she distinguished herself by winning four class awards and serving as an Editor on the Law Review Executive Board and as an extern for the Honorable Marvin E. Aspen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She was also admitted to the prestigious Order of the Coif. Subsequent to graduating law school with high honors, Kathy had the privilege of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Philip L. Bronstein in the Circuit Court of Cook County. In 1998, she joined Rooks, Pitts, and Poust as an Associate Attorney. She then had her own real estate practice for a few years before joining KGG, LLC in 2008. Kathy hails from St. Louis, but has lived in the suburban Chicago area since graduating college. She is the proud mother of two children, now adults. She was very active in her children's school districts for many years when they were young. She coached volleyball for several years and continues to play volleyball every week. She volunteered at a homeless shelter for more than twenty-five years and is an active member of her church, where she serves as the Support Committee chair. As part of her church involvement, she brings food to a local food pantry on a regular basis and serves meals at Morning Star Mission. She has been married for over 35 years. She and her husband enjoy attending Fighting Illini football games with their kids and with their friends they've had since college. Kathy is known for her tenacity in research and her ability to provide detailed analysis of complex legal issues. Lisa C. Holloway

Mark E. Flagel

Mark is a civil litigator with experience handling a wide range of cases, both torts and commercial disputes. He has managed cases involving personal injury, property damage, legal malpractice, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, product liability, construction accidents, defamation, breach of fiduciary duties, and securities litigation. He began building practical experience while still studying law at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (previously known as John Marshall Law School) when he was selected to work as a legal extern for the Honorable Michael B. Hyman of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. As a judicial extern, he acquired invaluable experience on a broad range of case types, as well as gaining insight into a perspective from the bench. He also served as an intern with Illinois Legal Aid Online, addressing an entirely different range of legal issues and helping those who otherwise might not be able to obtain needed legal assistance. Michael A. Mattingly

Local businesses and individuals in Grundy County have been benefiting from Mr. Mattingly's sound legal guidance for many years. Michael Gahan's litigation practice encompasses professional negligence, medical negligence, and injury litigation. He has practiced law for over 45 years and has tried cases before courts and juries throughout Northeastern Illinois. Stephanie is KGG's newest attorney, having been sworn in and licensed as an Illinois attorney in November 2022. After graduating law school in May 2022, she passed the Illinois bar exam. Eager to get her career started, she joined KGG well before her admission to the bar and began training and working as an assistant with established attorneys so that she could hit the ground running immediately upon admission to the bar. She is practicing law with a focus on subrogation, insurance defense, and general civil litigation. Stephanie already has significant legal experience from her internship for the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, Civil Division, during her last year of law school and the preceding summer. There, she performed legal research and was given the opportunity to hone both her technical and legal skills by providing assistance for a remote evidentiary hearing. She also provided valuable legal aid to Winnebago County's most vulnerable residents during her externship with the Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic in Rockford, Illinois, where she interviewed and advised clients, in addition to conducting legal research.

Thomas R. Osterberger

Mr. Osterberger's practice focuses on representing individual and corporate borrowers, developers, corporations, banks, governmental bodies, and individual land owners in the acquisition, sale, zoning, development and redevelopment of real property. He represents lending institutions and borrowers in workout and remediation of troubled credit instruments, foreclosures, and the sale of bank owned property.
