Afsana Akhter

Afsana leads Kiio's Sales and Client Success team with the goal of bringing the benefits of Kiio's MSK solutions to millions of people by partnering with Health Plans, Employers, PBMs, and other ecosystem partners. Afsana brings over 20 years of experience across tech and digital health in developing and commercializing innovative solutions and services. Afsana is passionate about building digital health companies that empower consumers while also improving the quality and affordability of care. Afsana is also the co-founder of SkinIQ - a company that uses AI and machine vision to help people better manage their skin conditions. Prior to that, Afsana was founding Chief Commercial and Product Officer at Prealize Health (formerly Cardinal Analytx) where she led product strategy, client success, and sales. In this role, she landed the first 10 payer contracts which represented over 20 million lives. As the former Vice President of Health Plan Strategy and Sales at Livongo Health, Afsana brought the company's diabetes solution to millions of members via large Health Plans and Employers and established reimbursement pathways. Previously, Afsana was the VP of Sales and Marketing at Medullan - a product design and development company that enables payers and providers to leverage multi-channel consumer engagement strategies. Afsana also held roles at Cisco Systems and Mazu Networks where she led engineering teams in developing and deploying solutions in VoIP and cyber security. Afsana holds BS and MEng degrees in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science from MIT, with a minor in Economics. She serves as the co-chair of the Healthcare and Life Sciences forum of the MIT alumni organization of Northern CA. She lives with her husband and daughter in Mountain View CA and loves running and hiking outdoors in the many scenic trails in the area. Over 15 years successfully commercializing digital healthcare solutions and collaborating with health plans, employers, and PBMs.

Alex Kramer

A digital health expert with experience in both vendor product development and client health plan product adoption. Alex has spent his career in digital health in a variety of product development, research, and marketing roles. He is focused on the intersection between healthcare, business, technology, and policy to build and position exceptional products to improve care outcomes for Kiio's clients and users. Prior to Kiio, Alex led product management and product marketing at Reflexion Health, which produced an FDA-cleared device for postsurgical musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Alex has also worked in product strategy at Tufts Health Plan and as a digital health analyst and consultant at Forrester Research. Alex has a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Brandeis University, an MS in Health & Technology Journalism, and has an MS in Health and Medical Informatics from Brandeis University.

Chad Lindley - COO

Chad has extensive expertise in solving business problems and meeting market needs. For the past 22 years, his focus has been software development and implementation, including documenting customer/market requirements, feature design and prioritization, team management, and agile methodologies. Prior to Kiio, Chad worked for a variety of technology firms, most recently Dell Software. At Dell, he was senior product manager for a portfolio of seven solutions; key product innovations in these solutions resulted in six patent applications in an 18-month span. In addition to product management, Chad brings extensive experience building and managing cross-functional teams focused on customer interaction points including pre-sales, professional services, and customer support. Chad holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business. Rock solid operational leader managing product development, systems administration, intellectual property, and information security.

Dr. Chris Stout

Dr. Chris Stout is a licensed clinical psychologist, having a diverse background in various domains. He is the Founding Director of the Center for Global Initiatives (a top ranked healthcare nonprofit and Platinum-ranked by GuideStar). He served as Vice President for the Department of Clinical Research and Data Analytics for ATI Holdings, LLC, the nation's largest sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation practice, where he oversaw all clinical outcomes of patients with musculoskeletal concerns and managed the clinical data resulting from over 24,000 patient visits a day. From these large datasets, he has developed and served as Principal Investigator for two national registries in the NIH National Library of Medicine (Evidence-based Guide Investigating Clinical Services, NCT02285868 and Evidence-based Guide Investigating Medical and Preventative Services NCT04050319) which were listed in AHRQ's Registry of Patient Registries. Dr. Stout was formerly a Clinical Full Professor in the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, a Fellow in their School of Public Health, and he's also held an academic appointment at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In addition to serving as an NGO Special Representative to the UN, he was appointed by the Secretary of the US Department of Commerce to the Board of Examiners for the Baldrige Award. He is also the Executive Producer and Host of a popular syndicated podcast featuring guests working in the humanitarian space and serves as LinkedIn Influencer on global health, technology, and humanitarian activism, reaching nearly a half-million readers. Dr. Stout has been awarded numerous humanitarian awards and holds four additional honorary doctorates, including one in technology from Purdue University.

Dr. Patrick Grabowski

Dr. Patrick Grabowski is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University in 2004 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree, and in 2012 from the Kinesiology Department at UW-Madison with his PhD in neuromotor control. Dr. Grabowski has practiced orthopedic and sports physical therapy in Vail, Colorado as well as Madison, WI. He has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2002, and was certified in orthopedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2008. Dr. Grabowski teaches motor control and learning, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and multiple research courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum at UW-L. Dr. Grabowski's research interests center on the enhancement of clinical efficiency through application of innovative therapeutic approaches and emerging technologies. He has lectured, published and presented research nationally as well as internationally, and has contributed to multiple rehab technology development collaborations since 2003. Marquette University graduate with a Master of Physical Therapy degree, and a PhD in neuromotor control from the Kinesiology Department at UW-Madison.

Dr. Tim Bartholow

As Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of WEA Trust Insurance, Dr. Tim Bartholow is tasked with leading all clinical functions to achieve safer more affordable care, focusing on proper access, appropriateness, harm avoidance, and engaging members to action. He encourages community health with board service to Wisconsin Literacy, United Way of Dane County, and the Wisconsin Collaborative for Health Care Quality. He advises Venture Investors, Kiio, the University of Wisconsin Master of Public Health Program, Wisconsin Community Health Fund, and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. Before joining the Trust, Dr. Bartholow served as the Wisconsin Medical Society's Chief Medical Officer for five years, working on appropriateness of care and unintended variation of episode costs, advance care planning, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation grant SMARTCare, and payment reform. Prior to joining the Society in November 2008, Dr. Bartholow spent 16 years caring for patients at the Prairie Clinic in Sauk City, Wisconsin, where he was one of 12 clinical owners. In the late 1990s, he served as Medical Director for a risk bearing independent physician association with more than 400 primary care providers. He completed family medicine residency at The University of Missouri - Columbia, medical school at Washington University - St. Louis, and chemistry and biology degrees at Drake University. Dr. Tim Bartholow is a passionate and visionary physician leader who is a fierce advocate for members and patients.

Lydia Zeller - CEO, President

Lydia has a track record of driving high-value and meaningful results for both Kiio clients and Kiio investment partners. One of the company's first employees, Lydia has been involved in every facet of Kiio product and business development. As VP of Strategy, she conceived of and spearheaded the company's efforts to bring Kiio's flagship digital therapeutic product to market. She landed and managed the company's first health plan partnerships and oversaw the development of critical clinical and financial outcomes studies documenting Kiio's value to health plans and their members.

Neal Sofian

Mr. Sofian is recognized nationally for almost 40 years of innovation in population-based and corporate health management/engagement, and organizational change. During his career, Mr. Sofian commercialized the first and now largest telephonic coaching program in the United States, Free & Clear (a smoking cessation program now owned by Optum and called Quit for Life), as well as several of the early health-related social networking platforms, including the American Cancer Society's Cancer Survivors Network. He is a noted author and speaker and continues to be acknowledged as one of the true innovators in the world of health behavior change. Mr. Sofian is currently the CEO of tuzag, Inc. a software company that has built a tailored content service and engagement platform for driving exponentially greater consumer behavior change. Prior to his role at tuzag, Mr Sofian was the Director of Member Engagement at Premera Blue Cross, where he was responsible for development strategies to engage the 2.2 million members of Premera in reaching their optimal health. He is focused on creating and implementing a model focused on personalized tailored messaging, rewards, and choice architecture based on creating segments of one. Prior to Premera, Mr. Sofian was the Director of Behavioral Interventions for Resolution Health after its acquisition of the NewSof Group of which Mr. Sofian was the co-founder and CEO. The NewSof Group was a consulting and new media development company focused on scalable health change, learning, coaching, sharing, and support. He was also a co-founder of Healthcare onsite, a worksite-based primary care service. During his tenure at Group Health Cooperative, Neal served as Director of Innovation, Manager of Worksite and Community Programs, and General Manager of Health At Work, the Northwest's first worksite health promotion company. He designed health and productivity management services for regional and national employers incorporating health promotion, disease management, onsite primary care, and time loss management strategies. Mr. Sofian is a well-known author and speaker in the field of health management, humor and health, and the role of personalization and social networking. Mr. Sofian holds a master's degree in public health from the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
