Frank Hakim

Frank Hakim is one of the founding partners of Davis*Gavsie & Hakim, LLP. Mr. Hakim has been practicing labor and employment law for more than 26 years. His firm exclusively handles labor and employment law matters, such as sexual harassment, wrongful termination, discrimination (on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, medical condition (cancer), sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy), retaliation for protesting discrimination, harassment or other violations of law (whistle-blowing), wage and hour issues, negotiation of employment contracts and separation agreements, preparing employee handbooks, investigating discrimination and harassment charges, sexual harassment training, and providing advice and counsel to employers. Mr. Hakim is a member of the Labor and Employment section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and has been Co-Chair of Sub Committees. He is also a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and a member of the Iranian American Lawyers Association. He has spoken on labor and employment related issues on live radio programs and television show. He was a speaker for a Los Angeles County Bar Association program regarding the California Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act. Mr. Hakim obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles majoring in Applied Mathematics with a Specialization in Computing. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School. Mr. Hakim is fluent in Farsi.

Roxanne A. Davis

Roxanne A. Davis has been practicing in Los Angeles, California, specializing in labor and employment law, for more than 30 years. Roxanne Davis obtained her B.A. from New York University with honors. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center and M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Ms. Davis is admitted to practice law in state and federal California courts. Ms. Davis spent 5 years of her career working as an attorney with one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the country representing management, Jackson Lewis. Almost 20 years ago, she established her own practice in which she represents individuals and employers, in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment, among other issues. The varied demands of her practice include litigating claims of wrongful discharge, unlawful harassment, discrimination, wage and hour issues, mediation, negotiating employment contracts and separation agreements and more. For businesses, Ms. Davis also advises on various employment issues with an aim toward prevention of personnel problems and lawsuits. Such matters include preparing company policies and procedures, Employee Handbooks and management training. She also investigates discrimination and harassment charges, represents employers in Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ("EEOC") investigations, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing ("DFEH") investigations, among other things. In addition, Ms. Davis speaks at seminars on employment law and contributes to legal publications.
