Dr. Hunter has been pastor at Mintz Baptist Church since January 2016. He comes to Mintz with his wife Denise and together they have served as a team with many years of ministry experience in North Carolina. Dr. Hunter believes his primary job as pastor is to be a servant leader in the church and to guide the congregation into a closer relationship with God through effective preaching, teaching and pastoral care. He wants Christians to grow in their knowledge of the Word of God, be obedient to that Word, and serve the Lord daily in their walk.
The Hunter's have two children. Their daughter Brittany, is married to Steven Royster and they have two children Lainey and Levi. Their son Luke Hunter is married to Meaghan and they have two daughters, Ava Grace and Brenlee Cate.

She comes to us from having retired as a school secretary for 35 years. She is a member of Mintz BC. She was born in Germany and is married to Alan. She loves to garden and ride with Alan on his motorcycle. She has three children and four grandchildren.
