OTNEIM

My mother Anne-Marie Broughton (nee Otneim) was born in Statten Island, New York, USA 9 March 1931 to Norwegian parents, Haakon Rasmus Matias Otneim and Astrid Mimi Otneim (nee Nilsen). Hakkon was born in Otneim and brought my mother back to Otneim in 1932 to grow up in the house that he built. Astrid returned to Otneim in 1937 after continuing to work in USA. But died a few years later in 1940.
