PLANO is affiliated with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) as the local New Orleans Chapter and annual AAPL's President speaks at PLANO functions... PLANO is a non-profit New Orleans Land Professional Association formed in 1953. Our purpose is to serve its membership by providing continuing industry educational opportunities, business and social networking, and to keep abreast of legal and legislative activity affecting the Gulf Coast Oil and Gas Industry... PLANO's also has given back in many ways. PLANO's Scholarship Program over $70,000 in Scholarships to land professional since inception. And PLANO has given over $100,000 in Community Projects that include expansion to Land Management Program at the University of Lafayette, the Louisiana Children's Museum, Children's Hospital, numerous Charter Schools, Catholic Charities, Bridge House, Northshore Food Bank, No Kid Hungry, Hogs for the Cause, Boys Hope Girls Hope, and many more.
