MFA, Whole Body Method Certified. As a movement artist, Anna Martine began practicing Pilates after chronic back spasms remained untreated through traditional physical therapy. She found ways to blend her dance and physical theater background with the healing practices she had developed through her years as an arts educator. She completed her year-long Classical Pilates Certification in Los Angeles and feels so fortunate to bring her practice to Chicago.
STOTT Pilates certification plus coursework in Injuries and Special Populations; Moksha Yoga certification, 200-hour level; M.A. in Management, Columbia College. Jennifer has a playful yet focused style and especially loves working with beginners, older adults, and those recovering from injury. She also enjoys bicycling around town, running 5Ks, and dancing with the 1960s go-go troupe The Revelettes.
Core Pilates NYC certification. Joan is a classical instructor as well as a Pre/Postnatal Specialist. After discovering Pilates in 2010, she credits Pilates with giving her a new body, a new mindset, and a new career! She transitioned from a life in the corporate world with a demanding travel schedule to full time dedication to helping others discover the muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and power that comes with a regular practice of the Pilates method of exercise.
Balanced Body Pilates; B.S. Business Administration and Marketing, Eller College of Management; Tucson, AZ native. Evolving his teaching style since 2010, Kevin believes our body is our greatest source of truth. Along with nurturing mind and spirit, it is what we will always have the most control over. Kevin practices movement as "experiential learning", i.e., that which we take responsibility for in the studio becomes our strength forever. Kevin vows to be both a positive role model and your strongest support system.
Balanced Body Pilates, ACE, and AFAA certifications; M.A. in Education Administration, Ohio State University. Norris has been in the business of fitness since 1989 as a group instructor, personal trainer, coach, curriculum developer and program director. Since 2003, he has been teaching Pilates to individual clients, small groups and instructor trainees across the country. He specializes in designing specific programs for individuals based on needs, challenges, and goals.
PBalanced Body Pilates, Yoga, Spinning and Prenatal Fitness certifications. Paula became enchanted with Pilates in 2001 after a regular practice of the Mat exercises eliminated chronic low back pain. Although she teaches a wide variety of fitness formats, her favorite method of exercise is Pilates, in which she is comfortable working with clients of all ages, sizes, fitness levels, and various stages of recovery from injury. Her philosophy is: "Do your best and the rewards will follow".
PMA-CPT, Pilates Method Alliance certified. Paula began practicing Pilates in 2003 to improve muscle tone. She quickly fell in love with the way she felt---invigorated and light, as if weight had been lifted from her joints! She credits Pilates with teaching her how to move more efficiently in everyday life---without pain and with renewed vigor. Her experience as a physical therapist aide and teaching Pilates in the physical therapy environment provides for an integrative approach to Pilates instruction. Paula enjoys sharing her practice with others in the hope all will enjoy the many revitalizing benefits for years to come.

Rachel combines her background in movement and language to facilitate understanding of the anatomy and biomechanics behind the exercises. Her precise yet nurturing guidance challenges clients of all fitness levels to discover sound movement awareness with creative programming.
Power Pilates certification; BFA, Columbia College. Sharon has a rich background in dance. A debilitating neck injury ended her career in dance performance and teaching. After being introduced to the Pilates method in 1990, she worked through her injury and was convinced of the wisdom of the exercises to increase core strength, stamina and flexibility. She is thrilled to be able to share with others the benefits of Pilates.
