Carol C. Forman - CHRO

Carol Forman began employment with wTe as a senior administrator in 1985. As the company grew, she assumed additional responsibilities for employee recruitment and benefits administration. In 2000, Carol was promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources and is now responsible for all employment activity company-wide, including the development and implementation of human resource strategies in support of our corporate goals.

Charles N. Faulstich

Charlie Faulstich has been a project engineer at wTe Corporation since 1986. He provides a variety of engineering services to Ult re PET, wTe Recycling, and Spectramet. Prior to wTe, Charlie was employed by the Raytheon Service Company and Universal Engineering Corporation. Charlie received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Merrimack College and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.

David B. Spencer - Chairman, CTO, Founder

David Spencer founded wTe in 1981 and served as its president until 2002. He led the company's entry into the waste-to-energy field in the 1980s, and later also guided the company into the recycling business. Today, David is the architect and leader of two new technology ventures for the company: Spectramet LLC and Melt Cognition LLC. Both ventures are pioneering new methodologies for high-value metals identification and sortation. Prior to joining wTe, he was employed by Raytheon and part of a team of three that founded that company's waste-to-energy business. David has a B.S. from Lafayette College and also holds an Sc.D. in metallurgy and materials science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Leigh A. Peritz

Leigh Peritz joined wTe in 1986 as Vice-President of Construction and Technical Services. In that role he managed a variety of process development and construction project reslated to material recovery, waste-to-energy, and plastics recycling. In 1994 he was named Vice-President of the company's Plastic Division where he managed all technical and commercial aspects of wTe's PET recycling business. Leigh is currently responsible for managing the company's engineering and technical activities, including all technical projects associated with Spectramet LLC. He is a registered professional engineer with over thirty years of experience in the environmental sector. Leigh earned a B.C.E. in Civil Engineering from the City College of the City University of New York and an M.S.C.E. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.

M. Scott Mellen - CEO, President

Scott Mellen has been President of wTe Corporation since 2002 and CEO since 2007. Since Scott has become president, wTe has tripled revenues through internal growth initiatives, acquisitions, and expansion of market share. Scott initially joined wTe in 1994 as Vice-President, Finance, and became Chief Financial Officer in 1995. He assumed operating responsibility for the Metals Division in 1998, and in 2000 was named Chief Operating Officer. Prior to wTe, Scott was a founder of Mellen Associates, a consulting and development company focused on the environmental sector. He also worked for both Shawmut Bank and Morgan Stanley & Company, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Scott received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and M.B.A from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Paul C. Zordan

Paul Zordan was previously an employee of Star Plastics in Albany, New York, which was acquired by wTe in 1990. At that point he joined wTe as Sales and Raw Material Manager and served in that position until he became Vice-President and General Manager in 2001. He is now responsible for all commercial aspects of the Ult re pet LLC business unit, including the recently acquired Novapet acquisition.

Stephen M. Turner - CFO

Steve Turner joined wTe in 1989 as a senior accountant and was appointed Controller in 1995. In 2002, he was named Chief Financial Officer and now has responsibility for all aspects of the company's financial strategy and transactions. Previous accounting experience included a management role for Uniform Tubes, Inc. Steve received a B.A. in Accounting from Eastern College in 1981.
