The history of Staalboek begins in 1885 when a company Van der Heijden was founded in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Van der Heijden specialized in the book trade. Over time the trade developed and expanded in various directions. The company moved from Eindhoven to Hapert and began to specialize in manufacturing of graphic products such as sample books, printing and bookbinding.
