Alex has over 20 years of experience working desktops, servers and networking in educational environments to our tech team. Prior to joining Sunstate, Alex served as the ISP for seven school districts, nine libraries and multiple government offices in the St. Johns and Round Valley areas.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys videography and video editing, cycling and playing with his two hound dogs, Molly and Maggie.

Darrel has served in the IT industry for over 23 years. Wearing many hats over the years has given him an impressive array of hands-on IT skills as well as the ability to hone IT strategies that drive organizations forward and bring greater peace of mind to business owners and management teams. His role includes overseeing day to day operations of the help desk and project team at Sunstate. He works with the technical team to solve customer issues with the right balance of speed and thoroughness while also galvanizing the engineering team in its efforts to deliver the right-fit solutions that meet every client's productivity goals while also maximizing IT security. Darrel's journey started as a Satellite communication technician in the U.S Army. Next, he worked for Alcatel USA as a fiber technician, network tester, and project manager. He has the following accreditations: MCSE, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Project +, BICSI Communication Distribution Designer, BICSI Telecommunications project Manager.
Sunstate consistently goes above & beyond for us. They are responsive and knowledgeable in all areas of technology.
Gary provides onsite support for Sunstate's clients in the Northern Arizona region. He is responsible for overseeing the completion of client projects, programming and installing new equipment. Gary's expertise lies in network engineering and development, equipment diagnosis and repair. An Arizona native, Gary was born in Flagstaff, grew up in Taylor, and currently resides in Show Low. He enjoys a variety of hobbies and is a certified SCUBA diver, instrumental musician and pilot.

Jett has over eight years of direct customer-facing tech support and service experience, and he previously worked as an escalation specialist for Verizon Fios and as an onsite rep for a national company providing internet, cable TV, IOT and surveillance to student housing and apartment buildings.

Jonathan brings 10 years of tech experience in his previous role at Apple, where he worked in progressive leasing, senior desktop support, new hire setups, conference rooms, procurement, security cameras and system administration. A lifelong lover of technology, he knew he was destined for a career in IT after taking his first computer class in the 3rd grade (using an Apple II+).
In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys learning about space travel and bowling (he's got a 208 average!)
Jordan brings years of tech experience from his role on Luke Air Force Base's IT Support Team, where he specialized in all core Desktop Support functions and served 5,000 Base employees.

Karen has been such an asset to the SBI family of companies over the last 17+ years. Her extensive experience in customer service allows her to successfully manage a staff of account managers, procurement employees, and customer service representatives. She's also responsible for purchasing, inventory, and reporting. She has worked in nearly every department, so she has a wealth of knowledge regarding the business.
Karen loves spending time with her husband, grandchildren, and 3 dogs. She's quite the crafter; she enjoys making quilts and has just learned to make dolls for her granddaughters.

Michael is responsible for managing software and hardware for Sunstate's clients. He provides both remote and onsite support. Prior to working at Sunstate, Michael spent 10 years as a Help Desk tech with CellularOne, and in that role he was responsible for the setup of all networking hardware and cabling for the CellularOne corporate office. In his spare time, Michael enjoys poker and practicing Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo.

Scott has over five years of tech industry experience, ranging from residential internet installation to building cell phone towers. Prior to Sunstate, he worked for Visionary Broadband as a remote field service technician where he maintained LTE/Microwave towers across southern Colorado and northwest New Mexico.
Scott is also a licensed emergency medical technician. In his spare time, he enjoys quality time with family, tinkering with 3d printing, and martial arts with a boxing and jiu-jitsu preference.

Stuart has worked his tech magic in the IT industry for over 25 years, wearing many hats including installation, training, teaching and management. As Sunstate's Director of Operations, Stuart creates solutions for clients by developing a thorough understanding of their business and technology needs, utilizing expertise and wisdom that comes from decades spent in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry. His dedication to exceeding every client's expectations stems from his belief in doing things with the utmost attention to detail.

Stuart enjoys reading the works of best-selling author Robert Kiyosaki and exploring the great outdoors-camping, boating and fishing.
Travis is an instrumental part of our team, as he works to analyze client networks and IT support methods while engineering plans for modernization and increased efficacy and profitability for the client. With more than 26 years of experience in the industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and support to a variety of verticals ranging from legal, medical, and retail, to financial, manufacturing and more.
In his free time, Travis enjoys sports car restoration and building show cars.
While we hope you don't have any ‘technology dragons,' Travis prides himself on "bravely slaying" them so clients can maintain business continuity.

William has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of tech roles, from hands-on positions in large control facilities to remote support in regional testing centers. William has also worked as a corrections officer and served in the U.S. Army as a Microwave Communications Technician.
In his spare time, he enjoys games (he has volunteered his time hosting game days for children at the library), reading and video creation/editing.
