Damian Smith is among the most experienced international lawyers in the United States. He has divided his practice over the past 32 years in primarily 3 locations: Seattle, Hong Kong and Salt Lake City. He has represented Japanese clients for over 30 years in the United States and in transactions around the world, and US clients in Asia and around the world. He conducts almost all client contact with his Japanese clients, including email and other written communications, in the Japanese language.

Michelle T. Kevern

Ms. Kevern is a registered patent attorney. Ms. Kevern's practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, patentability and infringement opinions, and patent portfolio management. Ms. Kevern joined TechLaw ventures upon graduating from law school in 2015. Prior to joining TechLaw Ventures, Ms. Kevern worked as a law clerk for two research and development corporations and focused on in-house intellectual property matters. Ms. Kevern also worked as a law clerk at a boutique intellectual property firm in Salt Lake City.

He has been practicing intellectual property law since graduating from law school in 2001. Mr. Edwards joined TechLaw Ventures in 2013 and became a managing partner of the firm in 2015. Mr. Edwards continues today as a managing partner and head of the patent group at TechLaw Ventures, where his practice focuses on various aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and unfair competition.
