Ed Vaughn

Job Titles:
  • Compassion Opportunities Director
Ed Vaughn is the overseer of our Compassion Opportunities at The Journey Church. He leads our church in many of its community projects, including saving food through our DIVE! ministry, overseeing our SEVENS meals for the homeless each month, & our various drives throughout the year that help those in need. Ed and his wife Peggy have been Journey members for many years, & Ed is always very active, helping with Special Olympics, elementary and middle school tutoring, and mentoring HS students as a part of Goodwill programs. When not helping so many people, Ed also enjoys golfing, cycling, hiking, & just about anything that involves being outdoors.

Evalina Noel

  • Co - Leader of Our Kids' Church
Evalina is a co-leader of our Kids' Church and Nursery program. She has attended The Journey Church her whole life and is growing to be highly involved in the community. She started volunteering in the nursery at a young age and works to create a safe and fun environment for The Journey Kids. She loves her family, friends, sports, music, and her cat.

Jackie Reitsma

Job Titles:
  • Pastor
Jackie has been attending The Journey since 2005 and has been one of our pastors since 2009. She also works as a school-based therapist in a Community Mental Health Center. Among her interests are spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, reading, reducing mental health stigma, photography, justice issues, learning, and quality time with close friends. She is so thankful for The Journey community and the way it inspires her to grow in her love for God and others.

Kalani Masika Blackwell

  • Worship Room Coordinator
Kalani Masika is our Worship Room Coordinator, & has been part of The Journey community since 2016. She enjoys being a part of creating a space where people worship & connect with others. She is involved in many of The Journey's compassion opportunities & also works with special needs children in a Thornton elementary school. Kalani is a landscape designer, chef, and entrepreneur. She finds great joy in serving others and participating in activities like snowboarding, hiking, roller skating and other pass-times.

Karen Stonecypher

Job Titles:
  • Church Administrator
Karen, her husband, John, and their three sons have been attending The Journey since 2007, and Karen has been the Church Administrator since 2015. Karen coordinates The Journey volunteers and helps run the day-to-day details of the church. She also enjoys being an artist, gardening enthusiast, bookkeeper, and copyeditor. Karen is deeply appreciative of the role The Journey and its people have played in her life and the life of her family.

Michael Noel

Job Titles:
  • Pastor
Michael is one of our pastors and is the primary Sunday morning speaker at our services. He has been serving at the church since it began and loves caring for the community. Michael has many passions in life, including his wife, three kids, parents and siblings, good friendships, sports, watching film and television, working out, and traveling. Among the other things that bring him joy are psychology, teaching at a local high school, and business interests.

Ryan Lepro

Job Titles:
  • Pastor
Ryan has been serving as a pastor at The Journey Church since 2016. He finds great joy in serving others & by spending time with his three children, & his family & friends. He is a Colorado native who obtained his bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology & works for a consulting engineering firm in Thornton, CO. Ryan also enjoys serving at church and participating in many hobbies, including trail running, biking, basketball, rock climbing, & snowboarding.

Vienne Noel

Vienne is a co-leader of our Kids' Church and Nursery program. She has been attending The Journey since she was born and is passionate about being a part of our church community. She began volunteering in the nursery as a teenager and is dedicated to making a safe learning environment for The Journey's children. She also enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat, as well as traveling and being outdoors.
