Adam Sherriff

Job Titles:

Adam has been sledding since the days of the 670x. He is a Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Handler, Golden and District Search and Rescue Team Leader and Supervisor of the Kicking Horse Resort Safety Team. Adam maintains an 80hr Outdoor Emergency Care first aid certification, Rope Rescue Team Leader designation and holds a Blasting Certificate for Avalanche Control. He has been playing in the BC backcountry for 18 years and began instructing 8 years ago.

Amber Wood

Amber grew up on a snowmobile in Ontario. After completing university she quickly moved to Whistler and became a snowmobile guide:) Amber has guided and trained snowmobile guides throughout BC. She developed the BC Commercial Snowmobile Association in 2003 and spearheaded training standards and developing risk management plans for adventure tourism operations. Amber started her professional level avalanche training in 2001. She continued on to become 1 of the first avalanche professionals trained on a SLED. Amber has been teaching snowmobile specific avalanche courses since 2005. She holds an 80hr Wilderness first aid certification. She has now stepped back in her roll as lead instructor and will fill in where needed - She is a Non- Practicing Avalanche Association Professional who is now a retired Parks Canada Park Warden and retired instructor of the CAA professional level avalanche courses. Amber and Chris have 2 young kids and Amber is now working as a Real Estate Agent in Golden, BC.

Brianna Lukkar

Brodie Evans

Job Titles:
  • Canadian Avalanche Association Associate Member - Assistant Instructor
Brodie has acted as an "Avalanche Ambassador" for Avalanche Canada and is working to become an Active Member of the Canadian Avalanche Association. He has completed his Level 1 Professional training and keeps busy as a Pro Sledder (and several other professions) in the winter months. This will be Brodie's 2nd season as an assistant instructor.

Chris Granter

Job Titles:

Chris has been working in the avalanche industry for 18 years. He completed the Canadian Avalanche Association's Applied Avalanche Risk Management course (Level 3) in 2012. As an Avalanche Forecaster and Safety Supervisor at Kicking Horse Resort, he is responsible for day to day avalanche related risk reduction. He maintains an unrestricted blasting ticket for avalanche control and an 80hr Outdoor Emergency Care first aid certification. Chris is an instructor in the CAA's Industry Training Program where he instructs the sled based Operations Level 1. He started sledding 15 years ago and his thumb hasn't stopped itching since!

Eric Brogno

Eric has been involved in the snow safety industry for 16 years. He is a senior team member of Mountain Safety for Kicking Horse Resort and is a senior team leader with Golden and District Search and Rescue. Eric maintains an 80hr Outdoor Emergency Care first aid certification and holds a Blasting Certificate for Avalanche Control. Eric has snowboarded in the backcountry for 20 years and started sledding 7 years ago. Eric has been instructing avalanche course for skiers/boarder & sledders for 7 years.

Jeff Harker

Jon Simpson

Jon started sledding in the late 70's which is pretty good considering he was born in the late 70's! He began guiding sled enthusiasts 8 years ago with Golden Snowmobile Tours. Jon is a member of the Kicking Horse Resort Safety Team. Jon maintains an 80hr Outdoor Emergency Care certification and a Blasting Certificate for Avalanche Control. He began instructing for Trigger Point 7 years ago.

Shane Gunn

Shane resides in 100 Mile House and is a volunteer with the Cariboo Search and Rescue. Shane has completed the Canadian Avalanche Association Professional Level 1 course. He has been an assistant instructor with Trigger Point for 3 years.

Steve Scott

Steve is the Operations Manager and Head Guide with Great Canadian Snowmobile Tours in Revelstoke, BC. He has been snowmobile guiding in Revelstoke and teaching with Trigger Point for the last 10 years. Steve has completed the Canadian Avalanche Association Professional Level 2 course and maintains an 80 hr Wilderness First Aid certification.
