Cindy Joy Johnston was born and raised in Midland, Texas and has lived in the Houston area since 2007. She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She started her career in the hearing aid industry in 2011 and has been a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist since 2014. Cindy Joy's greatest joy is to help others improve their quality of life through better hearing. She is very passionate about making sure every patient receives the highest level of care and counts it as blessing to partner with them to make sure they do not miss out on any of the precious moments in their life. Precious sounds matter!
Dr. Lacey Brooks received a bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry in 2003, and earned her Doctorate of Audiology in 2009. She completed her clinical internships and residency at various facilities within Houston Medical Center. Dr. Brooks is a professional member of the American Tinnitus Association (ATA), a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology (TAA) and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also the vice president of the Louisiana State University Houston Chapter Alumni Association. In addition to her years of experience identifying, diagnosing and treating all types and degrees of hearing loss, Dr. Brooks has spent the last ten years becoming an expert in Tinnitus management and therapy. For over seven years, Dr. Brooks successfully ran and operated more than six audiology clinics for one of the largest practices in the state of Texas. Dr. Brooks prides herself on providing her patients with the highest quality of care. She loves her patients dearly and feels so fortunate that she gets to help improve their daily lives. This love, combined with her impressive skill set, business experience and passion for helping people hear has made Dr. Lacey Brooks a wonderful addition to the Texas Professional Hearing Center team. She has been married to her husband Kevin since 2015 and welcomed their first little girl to the world in 2018.

Dr. Rohan Upponi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology in 2012 from the University of North Texas, and earned his Doctorate of Audiology degree in 2017 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his clinical externship in western Colorado.
Dr. Upponi is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology (TAA) and is certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA). He has experience in a wide variety of professional settings, including private audiology practice, ear, nose & throat practices and hearing aid retail. He has a special interest in hearing aid dispensing, vestibular assessment and serving military veterans.
Dr. Upponi has a passion for providing excellent hearing healthcare and developing lasting relationships with his patients. He feels honored to aid and educate those he serves. He is very proud to be a part of the dedicated team of professionals at Texas Professional Hearing Center. He is excited about the opportunity of getting to know patients in Baytown and the Greater Houston area.
When away from the office, he loves spending time with family and discovering new recipes to cook. He is a film enthusiast, enjoys building computers and is an avid soccer fan.
Ian Gillespie was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He attended the University of Manitoba where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Science, Certificate of Education, and then attended Minot State College where he received his Master's Degree in Audiology. Ian has been married for 33 years to Debbie Gillespie and they have one wonderful son, Kevin. They moved to Texas in 1997 and 3 years later Ian started Texas Professional Hearing Center. Ian has been an audiologist for over 29 years, helping the hearing impaired community of all ages.
Karla joins Texas Professional Hearing Center as our Patient Care Coordinator. She has 7 years of Administrative experience, is bilingual and finds great joy in being able to help our patients with their hearing healthcare needs.
Lyndi was raised in Baytown, but moved away to Oklahoma in high school where she lived for 24 years
Michelle Fontenot is a graduate of the University of Louisiana Lafayette. She recently moved from Lafayette to the Houston area to take the position of Office Manager in our Baytown office. Michelle joins Texas Professional Hearing Center after working in a busy ENT setting for the past 8 years. She brings over 18 years of administrative experience in the hearing healthcare industry and absolutely loves seeing how the quality of individuals' lives has improved through better hearing. Because of this, she looks forward to visiting with and educating the residents of this community. Michelle is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and currently enjoys spending her free time exploring the Houston area with her husband, Buck.
Vicky is part of the office and support staff here, primarily handling the electronic records of patients. She has a passion for caring for others. Read More
