Col. D. K. Chakrabarty served in Indian army for 26 years and retired as Colonel. He has participated in IPKF Operations in Sri Lanka and counter insurgency operations in Punjab and J & K. He is alumni of Sainik School, Goalpara, National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla, and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He has M. Sc in Missile Technology from Pune University and Master in Defense Management studies from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. As Commanding Officer, he was responsible for security and safety of men and material of a Rocket (missile) unit holding very sophisticated Equipments with highly trained manpower. He is qualified in security and safety management from Indian Institute of Security Management, Chennai, one of the prestigious Institutions in India.
