Midden in het turbulente jaar 2020 verscheen Alex op ons kantoor in Roeselare waar hij zowel de aankoop, verkoop als logistiek ging ondersteunen en dat doe hij nog steeds heel goed.
Alvaro Castro belichaamt perfect de essentie van The Portugal Collection: onze wijnen zijn gemaakt door sterke persoonlijkheden die een stukje van hun ziel in hun wijnen leggen. In de Quinta de Saes en Quinta da Pellada van Alvaro proef je dat zonneklaar.
We have been following Alvaro Castro since 2003. We were sold on his wines from the start and consider him one of Portugal's leading winemakers. He almost single-handedly put the fantastic Dão region back on the map. In his younger years, Alvaro nevertheless seemed to be heading for a career in the capital Lisboa, where he trained as a civil engineer. But quite early on he decided to return to his roots in Pinhanços, the small village at the foot of the Estrela Mountains and in the middle of the best sub-region of the Dão appellation.
In the early years, Alvaro sold his grapes to the local cooperative. That was what almost everyone in the region did. It was strongly encouraged
Joined the company in 2001 and is 50% owner, just like his brother Kris.He is an esteemed connoisseur of Madeira wine and manages one of the largest collections of historic Madeira in the world. He takes care of the sales for Eastern and Western Flanders.
Dora werd geboren in de Portugese Vinho Verde-regio maar woont inmiddels al ruim 20 jaar in ons land. De passie voor Portugese wijn is alvast makkelijk te verklaren. Ze deelt die graag met u.
Dries has been managing our warehouse in Roeselare for over 5 years and also takes care of deliveries in East and West Flanders. For our customers he is a familiar face who delivers the right wines punctually.

Jarno has helped us grow into an efficient and service-oriented company in recent years. Recently he has also developed his commercial talent and guides his own clients.
Founded the wine trade in 1997 with a focus on French wine and soon discovered the potential of Portugal.Today he divides his time between management and sales in Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant.

Stijn is a man from the coast and has been active in the wine sector for years. He gives wine advice from the beach bars in Knokke to the trendy restaurants in Antwerp.
