Chris is the Trustee Treasurer, appointed in June 2020. She is a Chartered Accountant and a qualified Project Manager and has over 25 years' experience working as a Head of Finance for mainly SMEs. Chris is a member of the ICAEW and CAANZ. Although Chris comes from New Zealand where they don't have central heating, she has lived in the UK for 25 years and became interested in gas safety from her experiences as a landlord and with her work at MP Moran Building and Plumbing Merchants. Chris has a degree in Business Studies majoring in Accountancy and Agribusiness from Massey University in New Zealand.
Chris is a member of the Investment Committee and the Funds for Distribution Group.

Gordon Lishman CBE FRSA has been active in the charity sector for over forty-five years. He was Director General of Age Concern and Chief Executive of the Age Concern group. He helped to found the European Union's AGE-Platform and was the International Vice-President of the International Federation on Ageing. He is also a Trustee of the Safer Tourism Foundation and the John Stuart Mill Institute as well as being active in the Liberal Democrats as a local councillor, as a Board member of the National Liberal Club Ltd, and in national and international contexts.
Gordon is an ex officio member of all the Charity's Project Review Groups and a member of the Investment Committee.
John is Head of the Manufacturing & Utilities Sector at HSE. Over 20 years he has gained extensive regulatory, enforcement and policy experience across the manufacturing, construction and railway industries. He has a special interest in making the gas safety system work even better for everyone. and wants to further drive out illegal gas work. Before joining HSE, he worked in the oil industry and has a Ph.D. in geology.
John is a member of the FILT Review Group.

With a passion for addressing inequalities through the promotion of the health, safety and wellbeing of others, Marnie has extensive experience in governance and regulation (health and social care) previously as a Governor for a large mental health trust and a Governance Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission. Currently a Fitness to Practise Tribunal Chair for two healthcare regulators, she is also an Independent member of the Policy and Standards Committee at Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and the Clinical Ethics Forum at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Her interest in gas safety has been influenced by her brother's role as a gas engineer in the USA. Marnie has a MSc in Governing, Leading and Managing in Healthcare.
Marnie is a member of the Investment Committee and the FILT Review Group.
Maureen is the Charity's Company Secretary & Administrator. She is a Chartered Governance Professional with over 30 years' experience in governance and company secretarial work. She has worked for a range of organisations in the public, private and charitable sectors, including Transport for London, The Chartered Governance Institute and Age Concern England. She is also Company Secretary and Trustee of London Gardens Trust, The Gardens Trust, the Brunel Museum and the John Stuart Mill Institute. She also provides governance advice and takes minutes of National Liberal Club Board and General Committee meetings. Maureen has a BSc in Mathematics and Biophysics, and an MSc in Information Science.

Mike has worked in the gas/heating and utilities sector for over thirty years, starting as a domestic Gas engineer. He has worked to expand his knowledge across the gas industry and has gained his ILM accredited Manager and IOSH certification.
He has worked for 18 years in the Utility Sector as an Emergency Response Engineer for two of the largest Gas Transporters and as a Team Manager for SGN, he has also worked as a Lecturer in Gas at Eastleigh College, Teaching and Assessing within the BPEC Approved Gas Assessment Centre. Mike currently works for Wates Construction company as a Gas Site Manager.

Nick Ratty was Head of the Manufacturing, Transportation and Utilities sector at the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). He has extensive experience of regulatory inspection and enforcement across most industrial sectors, as well as product supply, market surveillance and policy making. He has managed investigations and prosecutions arising from carbon monoxide poisoning, gas explosions and illegal gas work. He was Head of Operations for HSE in the West Midlands. Now retired, Nick also serves as a Trustee of Electrical Safety First.
Nick is a member of the FILT and Safety Centres Review Groups, and the Funds for Distribution Group.

- Senior Director of Marketing for Oxford Biomedica
Zoe is Senior Director of Marketing for Oxford Biomedica, a life sciences company. She has over 20 years' experience in developing strategic marketing plans across a variety of sectors including quality & safety services and the white goods industry which underpin her interest in furthering public safety initiatives. Zoe is applying her professional skills to help support the continuing work of the Gas Safe Charity.
She has been active in the voluntary sector for over 10 years, volunteering and fundraising for local charities and in her capacity as a parish councillor. Zoe holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Driven Marketing from the Institute of Data & Marketing in addition to her qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, which include a Diploma in Digital Marketing.
