Corinne Cadey

Job Titles:

I have been in the funeral profession since 2006. I have worked for independent and corporate businesses during my career. I joined Paul J King in 2017 as an assistant funeral director and was promoted to the business manager in 2018. I am very passionate about this profession and always strive to offer exceptional service to the families that we care for. I started off as an Embalmer in 2007 and worked my way up to become a Funeral Director in 2011. I have undertaken my British Institute of Embalmers Diploma in Embalming, completed my Cert FAA in Funeral Arranging and Administration and currently doing my Diploma in Funeral Directing. I am part of the Southern region for the British Institute of Embalmers. I am an active member of Effective Business Networking in Braintree, as well as attending other networking events throughout the year. When I am not working, I enjoy socialising with my family and friends and always thinking of exciting adrenalin events to participate in such as sky diving for charity and trips to theme parks.

I always lived in Kent until, in 2020, I moved to Rayleigh to join my long term partner. I have worked within the Funeral Industry since 2012, which I absolutely love. In July 2021 I joined Paul J King to work in our Maldon branch before transferring to our Hullbridge office.

Katie Mason

Job Titles:
  • Funeral Arranger / Administrator
I started working for Paul J King in June 2023. My family have been working for Paul for around 25 years, my mother being one of Paul's first employees and my Father, a paramedic, would occasionally drive the ambulance. So, it seemed fitting for me to join the team, following on the family tradition. I have lived all over the Dengie including Maldon back in 2015 where I am now based. I am proud to work for a company that gets so involved in supporting local communities through charity events, Fetes, Rotary and Careers advice in schools. In my spare time I love to cook, catch up on a box set and visit local restaurants and festivals.

My wonderful husband and I have lived in South Woodham Ferrers since we married in 1987 and since that time, we have manged to produce two amazing daughters, both of whom we are extremely proud of. I joined Paul J King in November 2022, as a Funeral Arranger at the Hullbridge Office, and after 17 years of working on a busy Customer Service Desk of a large supermarket, I now feel privileged to be able to help and advise families in a more intimate way, at what may be one of the saddest times of their lives.

Margaret Bone

Job Titles:
  • Company Director
  • Secretary
As Paul's mother, I have always taken an interest in the business but in 1999 having retired from a career in Education, I agreed to take a temporary part-time role at our Chelmsford Office. That part-time job soon turned into a full-time permanent position! Having become involved in the business, and very much enjoying the role, I undertook Bereavement Training with CRUSE Bereavement Care in 2001. That same year I, together with our other members of staff, achieved the NAFD Foundation Certificate in Funeral Administration. I then continued to study for the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing, which I passed in 2003. With a background in education and much training in bereavement care, I started a weekly Bereavement Support Group in South Woodham Ferrers in 2001 and in Burnham-on-Crouch in 2003, which I continue to facilitate. I was proud to achieve the Foundation Degree in Funeral Services from Bath University in 2011 after three most enjoyable and inspiring years. During the better weather and when I have time, I do enjoy golf.
