Eric Smith, Master Electrician and Owner of Add-All Electric was born and raised in Irving, Texas. He started working with and learned the electrical trade from his Dad when he was just in eighth grade. One day on a 110-degree day in July his Dad had him pulling wire, by himself, in a 170-degree attic. Sweating and hating every minute in that attic, Eric decided that if he was going to continue working in the business that he was going to own it. Eric earned his Journeyman license in 1998 and his Master Electrician license in 2004. And in 2005 when his Dad retired, Eric bought the business. Eric's philosophy on running the business is to hire great people. They don't necessarily have to be electricians; they just need a desire to learn and a good work ethic. It is this philosophy that has allowed him to assemble a great team of Journeyman and apprentices who have helped him to grow the company. Outside of work, Eric is married to his wife Laura. Laura and his Mom Becky (who started the company with his Dad, John, in 1970), help him run the business. Eric has two older sons: Jake who works for the Irving Police Municipal Jail; and Luke who is a straight "A" student in high school. In November of 2019, Eric and Laura welcomed the newest addition to the family, a beautiful, baby girl, named Emry. Eric is most proud of his family and is grateful for the success of Add-All Electric. When he's not running the company, he is working on his other passion, breeding deer.
